I agree but dont take too many rocks, if everyone took half a dozen home there would be none left on the beach.

Why would anyone even bother waste time and energy on puling Fatgran up for taking seaweed?

I can understand the criticism of taking rocks, if everyone took rocks or pebbles, the shoreline would be eroded.
In Britain, it is illegal under The Coastal Protection Act 1949

In Tasmania, it is also illegal. Under the National Parks and Reserved Land Regulations 2009, there are penalties of up to $700 for people caught stealing items such as rocks from beaches.

I came across a young woman on one of my FB groups who collects pebbles and driftwood from beaches and makes beautiful pictures from them to sell online. I didn't challenge her about taking the stones, because I know I'd be shouted down by her many followers.

But seriously? I don't know how she gets away with it so publicly. Unless there is such a thing as a licence to collect them? I don't think so though.

I don't see anyone being grumpy, apart from Fatgran, at the person who felt the need to pull her up.

That's the problem when you can't see facial expressions, a statement can be taken in different ways and sometimes misunderstood.
