How many pets do you have

I have one 13 year old blue Burmese cat. She alternates between being as sweet and loving as possible and a right royal pain in the derriere, following me everywhere, nipping ankles, jumping up on worktops where she knows perfectly well that she's not allowed etc. etc. Burmese are VERY demanding!

None but the hamster used to visit when the family went on holiday. Fortunately when the last one died it wasn't replaced!

I'd love a small dog but like ninathenana, our cat Monty would probably leave home if we got one. Will wait till Monty heads off to 'Rainbow Bridge' but fingers crossed that wont be for a long time. Just love that grumpy unsociable ball of fluff.

At the moment 2 cats and 1 dog. We always had 4 cats and 2 dogs in the past but now I am retired I decided money wise I would cut down the numbers. Since we have been married we have had 15 cats and 4 dogs and I still miss them all and all the love they give to you. I would not be able to survive without my animals so when in my dotage I shall get an old rescue cat and we can snuggle up together.

We have a small dog, called Barney. He's 9 years old now, and keeps us active, taking him long walks.

He can be hard work at times, but wouldn't like to be without him

We have 2 border collies and 6 cats now plus hens and a goose but have gone through the lists of beasties including a flock of sheep for spinning fleeces. Agree it is very tying and every trip planned is a logistical juggle but couldn't be without the tribe. I work around the difference in seasonal times the hens go to bed as well, different people are available earlier and later in the day, so a 4pm shut in in Winter suits some and 9pm e.g. summer Solstice suits others so it spreads out. I usually take the dogs away with me in the UK but have a fantastic dog walker who loves them, for the rare trips abroad.
It's a balancing act isn't it!!

Fish. A pond with 13 fish in. Seven beautiful koi and six pretty goldfish with flowing tails. Pond is quite near the back door and they all line up and remind me to feed them, when I come out of the back door. The pond is netted after a heron visit but the fish don't mind.

I`m with H1954 on this one and he even manages to groom himself and no vet fees.

Yes my cats 'trained' me so when he licks his lips at me it means he wants food,or at very least cat treats?i have trained him to give a kitty high five.Hes very entertaining,and still sprightly at 13,he loves us to play with his toys with him,and has several favourite catnip mouse toys.He never brings home any real ones though.thank goodness.?

None - I have always had dogs but last one died before I had my stroke - I couldn't cope with one now, but love my sister's.
Also love going away, which is less problematic with no pets.

My eldest daughter has had a cat about 16 yrs,but also keeps getting other various pets,(cats,dogs,Guinea pigs,etc) that don't seem to stay very long?we call her the 'pet- giver away-er'?

2 - 1 dog, Emma, rescue, 14.5 years old very fit and active- Jack Russel type but on longer legs and body. And 1 cat, Minou 3 legs - rescue found with leg hanging off, now amputated. About 3.5 years old- ragdoll.

Just one much loved black cat,( my whole family love him,hes so laid- back with the GC) hes nrly 13 and has grown up with my youngest(nrly 17) He's lovely,but always has to have the last meow(the cat,i mean?)when we go away we get a lady in whose job it is to visit homes& feed/water/clean up after cats.shes been visiting my cat for about 10 yrs now,so loves him.I wouldnt get another cat after him though.hes a hard act to follow.?

We have four lovely Labradors, they live in a custom made run in the garden as they are working dogs. We have always had labs and shed many a tear when they go, to think I have this to come at least four more times, but would not be without them.

None, although when I retire I’d like a little Yorkshire terrier.

Live in a council house, as we had the cat before we moved we were allowed to keep her. Would love a rescue greyhound though

Just one pet, Wiggy, a cockatiel. She's quite bossy. I would like a cat but she would never allow it.

We have 4 lovely cats. The "old one" is 15, and the other 3 are one year old sisters, all rescues.

We have 2 rescue cats aged 7 and 15.

We have recently been ‘adopted’ by a stray, who turned up in our garden and stared piteously into our kitchen. He was an un-chipped, un-neutered tom and we took him into our household in December.

We never intended to be a three cat house, but what can you do ... ? ???

I have two beautiful Rottweilers and a little Jack Russell who is an absolute terror...her joy in life is stealing toy's from the Rottie's!

I would love to have a dog (or two, three, four . . . ) but with both of us working full time, it's just not feasible

I love cats, but not the "gifts" they bring in, so no cats in this house

just one cat now... in my early 80`s would love another dog and even another cat...

always had dogs and cats,,, now.. enjoy them whilst you can and those lovely OH mine died recently,, so miss him
