Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, wet and windy here in Brackley this morning.
Yesterday, I did go out but I will say numbers out seem to be down, or not hanging around.
Only hope those living in the reported areas of Lancs and Yorks and other places survive this storm.

Good Morning Sunday
(70 Posts)Morning everyone, been awake since silly o’clock, wet and windy outside, not in Torbay but at my daughters in Cheshire, she is recovering from an operation, home tomorrow to see what damage this storm has caused.
My thoughts with those severely affected and anyone poorly today.
Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it is raining.
Belated birthday wishes Brunette I hope you had a lovely day.
Yesterday I did a craft project that I’ve been wanting to do for ages.
Let’s hope we all have a good day whatever we do ?
Goodmorning all from a very windy Norfolk, so far not too much rain. The wind roared all night. Dog walking found another tree down and lots of debris will know more when it gets light. After the madness of yesterday having a quiet day. Dog cuddles, tv and weaving to relax. Hope everyone is OK and surviving Dennis. Hope he will be the last of the season. Its time for spring. Have a good day everyone.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It's still wild outside but we are on high ground so luckier than some. We have a leaky roof but nothing too serious.
A busy day ahead but the cinema to look forward to tonight.
Thinking of everyone struggling with sadness and pain.
Morning Mick and All.
I think another wet miserable day in prospect in South Bucks, but nothing like as bad as further north and west. We live on the top of a hill but further into town by the river it’s another story.
Will stay close to base today.
Hope you are feeling better today Mary.
Morning Mick, morning All from our dark and very wet corner of Somerset. Can hear water dripping, think and hope its outside. Feel so sad for anyone impacted by floods. Not venturing far today, Finish some cleaning we began yesterday then I plan to do some sorting. Goodness, how mundane does that sound? Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.
Good morning Mick and everyone. It seems to have stopped raining at last here in north Cheshire. Every time I stirred in the night I could hear it battering in the windows and skylights.
Yesterday I paced myself doing some spring (Ha!) cleaning jobs. I watched Mrs Lowry and Son on Netflix and snacked too much. This morning a walk in the woods with neighbours when we put the world to rights, and a friend is coming for a late lunch. I'm hoping there aren't any trees down in the woods and that Dennis has blown itself out.
Good wishes to those affected by the storm and all on the sick list or who are caring for someone who is ill. Take care everyone. Stay warm and safe.
Good morning Mick and all who follow. It’s as windy now as it has been throughout this storm, here in Suffolk. We have had rain but nothing like the North and West. They are in our thoughts.
Another day of tidying up and making beds, ready for next weekend. We know how to live here!
Good Morning from a nice and dry Fife for the moment anyway. It looks quite calm out. We have been lucky compared to others down south, I hope everyone has come through it all unscathed. Birthday went very well yesterday and once again thanks to all for your good wishes. Today will be a quiet one I think, tidying up and relaxing. Thinking of all those with ailments, troubles and anxieties. Keep your chin up. Take care and have a peaceful day.
Good Morning all, it seems calm and dry at the moment , I am back from a lovely week in Edinburgh with the grandchildren for half term.
Nice to be back in my own bed , but missing the company
Good morning from N Bucks where it is raining but the wind has either dropped a bit or turned (or I’ve suddenly gone deaf)
No plans for today as such (yet) I need my cuppa to get my brain into gear!
Hope any of us more affected by Storm Dennis are safe and well.
And wishing you all a pleasant day.
Good morning all, it's dry here in Glasgow at the moment, a bit breezy, but not a patch on yesterday. There were so many flooded roads here, it was impossible to avoid them.
Brunette, I hope you had an enjoyable day yesterday.
Final wedding dress fitting went well yesterday, I do admit to having a tear in my eye. My tomboy daughter looked beautiful.??
I was wakened early by a text message, thinking it was my daughter with her usual early morning text, I went back to sleep. It turned out to be a text reminding me that my new dishwasher was coming today. ?. I had totally forgotten that this was Sunday that it was due today!!! Mad rush to clear a space for it, as it can't be installed until Wednesday. Perhaps not even then, as the installer is on the Isle of Arran for a weekend break, heaven knows when he will get back, going by my daughter's adventure last weekend! ?.
Kate, thanks for your good wishes, I still feel a bit rotten, but I promised to help some people at church with form filling and I don't want to let them down. Anyway, the socialising always cheers me up.
A good friend had an unexpected quadruple bypass on Thursday, he didn't realise how unwell he was, so I want to check in with his wife. It's been a bit of a shock, to say the least.
Have a good day everyone and to all the patients in the sick bay, rest! Do as I say, not as I do!
Good morning everyone from a calm, mild and damp South Manchester. It’s so quiet this morning! I can see he ridge of the Pennines and the sky is a cool white wash.
Himself will be taking the grandson to indoor cricket practice this afternoon then all the family, including great grandpa, are off to enjoy a meal at our new favourite restaurant. Last day of the half term and the beginning of it for our daughter!
Hope Sunday is pleasant for us all, whether we have plans or none. x
Good morning from a grey, wet and windy Market Harborough. Babysitting weekend with my two lovely grand daughters. Rock painting after breakfast.
Sending love and hugs to all who are sick, depressed or just fedup. Love to the Gillybobs. Also sending love to Caroline Flack's family and friends. Be KIND to each other. X
Morning All
It’s very energetic weather outside. I think we had Momma’s share of the rain all in one dump about half and hour ago and the trees are all bending and whipping around so hopefully they won’t fall.
I keep thinking of everyone living in those lovely picturesque places which are suffering so much from flooding. A tragedy. Perhaps it’s time some villages were moved. It’s taken out of human hands here in Norfolk - the sea takes them.
Goodmorning Mick and all x
I haven't opened the curtains but can hear the wind howling. Waiting for GrandpaG to bring my cup of tea up.
I do not think we will venture out today, roast chicken with all the trimmings later.
Keep warm dry and safe folks x
Good morning from North Yorkshire. We have had another soaking and I think the main road into our local town may be flooded again.
Went to York yesterday to see the Van Gough Immersive. It was brilliant and well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Church this morning then some housework in preparation for my half term visitors.
Good wishes to all on the sick list.
Hope today is kind to everyone.
Good Morning from a wet and not as windy Bristol.
Family for lunch later kids can stay later tonight as no school in the morning and no early rise for me.
Just cant imagine what these poor people are going through with their flooded houses, its just awful.
I hope everyone has a good Sunday.
Good morning from a much calmer Oxfordshire, rain and wind have stopped, hopefully for good as I have to take DDs dog out, she was indoors most of yesterday and is going stir crazy.
Apart from that, just going to get the sewing machine out and make some more shopping bags for family, time to start using my stash of fabrics today as part of my decluttering .
Hope everyone is still ok after the storm and is safe and dry.
Don't you just love our County NFK DUMPLING it's gone very still here not a breath of wind, hopefully it's coming your way.
Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Wet and very windy in the night but seems to have calmed down this morning. I can see a neighbours greenhouse has been destroyed.
My doggie feels a little poorly so will only do a short walk today as I am not going on my usual walk on the trails with my DGS as he has a cold and poorly ears?
I may just stay in once I have been to the cemetery for a visit to my niece’s grave. It would have been her 38th birthday this week.❤️
Best wishes to all on the sick list and to anyone not feeling ‘it’ today. I do think a duvet day for everyone is in order.
Morning all from a calm North Leicestershire- maybe the calm before the storm. I am happy to report that my hall carpet remains dry!!
Picking up DGDs 2 and 3 today for a few days, so back to a full house.
Sending love and best wishes to all who need them.
Good morning Michael, Annie, to come, and all others.
We evidently had a very windy, wet night and early morning, but I didn't hear any of it.
Off to Church a bit later, and giving some more people a lift. We love our new car, but it is a bit of a squeeze in the back now, particularly if you have long legs.
Yesterday, we got back to the car park, to find a parking ticket on the windscreen ?. The wind must have blown the ticket off the dash board and onto the floor, as we closed the doors.
Anyway, I have emailed a copy of the ticket to the council, and hope our appeal will be successful. ?
Not much doing today, but will shorten a new pair of DH trousers, and try and find a knitting pattern amongst my stash.
Hoping the Gillybobs and all who are poorly, are as safe and warm as can be.
Have a good day one and all.
Good morning from the NE coast where we have had a night if heavy rain and high winds. It’s calm now and quite cold compared with yesterday.
Nothing much to report today other than I did a bit of food shopping yesterday morning and a bit housework in the afternoon. DH spent most of his day in bed.
A busy week ahead next week with it being half term . I have the older 3 DGD for 2 days and one overnight and little Evie for one .....I wish I could have had them altogether but family shift patterns are different . I have the dreaded mammogram on Tuesday (in the middle of the day) and DH has a scan on Friday at 8.30 am. It should be fun trying to get him up and out for just after 7 am (I think perhaps it might be easier to just stay up all night).
Hope everyone has survived the storm and those feeling poorly start to feel a bit better soon.
Love Gillybob xx
