Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, wet and windy here in Brackley maybe gusty as well by the sound of it.
Today, laundry to be done ,and few other things to sort as well as a small shop this morning.
So I can relax later looking forward assuming I can keep awake watching the Pale Horse .

Good Morning Sunday
(53 Posts)Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it is dark and wet with a slight wind...at the moment.
My brother came by yesterday and did a job for me so I can now carry on with my outside project for this year.
Today I’ll potter and craft. I embossed some card stock in my craft class and am keen to see what I can do with it.
Keep safe and well today folks ??
Good morning from near Glencoe. Lovely walk yesterday up Glen Nevis . Saw the Steall Gorge and Waterfall. However got very wet walking back. Think dripping! Another walk planned today. Guided as we are on a HF holiday.
Hope everyone has a good day and keeps safe in the storm.
Good morning Mick and everyone. Awake since 4.30 but not sure why. It's windy here in Cheshire and there have been bursts of heavy rain on the skylights. I did go to the landing and listen, fearful of it being a dreaded squirrel in the loft. Yes, it has happened before today and it's scary. Shortly after 4.30 there was the sound of emergency vehicles close by, so sadly someone is having a dreadful morning.
I noticed quite late last evening the wren which nests beneath my balcony was pecking at some moss on the garden wall and later I saw that she had closed the entrance to the nest. Clever bird knew the storm was coming.
I'm staying home today. Depending on the weather I shall walk with the neighbours in the woods at 9.00. I hope there isn't too much damage to the trees. There is the most spectacular oak tree and I know I would be very upset if anything happened to that.
Get well wishes to all on the sick list, and hope those recovering from ops or treatment are improving each day. Enjoy your day and stay safe.
Good morning everyone and to all who will follow.
Rainy very windy West Yorkshire. My roof is leaking again. Had the gutters cleared but it can’t be that.
Little cat is doing well.
Made a jug of coffee to take back to bed for a cat snuggle and read my book.
I hope everyone who is ill or troubled has a better day.
Love to all
Good morning from very blustery Kent. I've just seen on FB that the Dartford bridge is closed due to high winds.
I shall be staying put, watching rugby and doing my jigsaw..
Hope nobody has property damage.
Good morning all from a dark and wild Glasgow, it's blowing a hooley here. I hate weather like this, as we often lose roof tiles, due to our house being exposed.
I'm off to church this morning, but it will be there and straight back. I have to open up and also meet with someone, otherwise I would give it a miss.
Also, I have just realised that I forgot to put the meat for today's steak pie in the slow cooker, so I'm off to do that right now.
Best wishes to all the patients and keep safe.
Good morning from east London, very windy and gusty out there but no rain as yet. The lights in the trees across the playing field are hanging on. Nina, I’m onto a jigsaw at the moment next to the box of papers I’m supposed to be sorting but it’s too early for that. I may wander off to a used children’s clothes sale today; DD says she can’t think of anything she wants but I can browse... Will be seeing DD and family later, we’re on collection duty for GD1 from her dad. Have a good day.
Morning all from the Scottish Borders. Quite a storm overnight but it's too dark to check for damage. Heavy rain now. I think I may stay home today and prepare for my DB & DSiL who are due tomorrow. They will fly here so let's hope there's no disruption.
Thinking of all who are struggling esp Gillybob , Dragonfly and Marydoll
Hope everyone has a good day.
Good morning all from a stormy North Leicestershire. Our roof repair seems to have worked - there is no water in the hall!!!
This means we can give the plasterer the go ahead!!
We are off looking for stuff for our lounge refurbishment today.
Sending love and support to poorly and troubled friends and a warm welcome to all newcomers.
Good morning from a wet and windy Leicestershire.
Hoping to pop to M &S this morning for a few things as it may be my last day out for a bit.
Keep safe and healthy everyone.
Good news kitty.
Goodmorning all from a very windy Norfolk. The rain has stopped for a while. So far no damage our danger zone is this afternoon as it sweeps through. Another large cup of tea then we will feed the critters who are all safely tucked up inside. Church and a warming lunch then a walk around the farm to see if all secure. Going to hide after that and do some more weaving, the alpaca blanket for the baby is progressing nicely. Take care and stay safe spring is out there somewhere.
Good morning everyone from South Manchester where the gusts of wind are pushing the rain up against the windows. I slept like a log though from 10pm till just after 6am.
I’ve made a cuppa and brought it back to bed.
Absolutely not going anywhere today. Who would want to be out in this unless they had to?
Salmon, broccoli, mushrooms and baby potatoes for an easy Sunday lunch and crack on with my book. #lazygran.
I’ve a couple of telephone calls to make to friends today to arrange some catch up sessions - always enjoyable - over the next couple of weeks.
Hope Ciara doesn’t cause too much disturbance where you all are and that Sunday is kind to us all whether we have plans or, like me, none. x
Good morning all from Lee on Solent.
Well the storm is properly kicking off now, so I think my moggies and I will stayed tucked up at home for the day and hope for minimal storm damage.
I hope all your fences, roofs and trees stay strong.
Morning All
Very windy here in the north of Norfolk. I fear for our Norfolk pantiles, there’s a few loose tiles up there which just may come adrift. National Trust houses Blickling, Felbrigg and Oxburgh Halls are all closed completely with advice not to walk in the woods (be careful Ginny) so they’re expecting a good blow today.
A day in today as DH isn’t feeling too well. We seem to take it in turns to worry about the other.
Morning Mick and all from a very blustery West Sussex.
In bed with tea and with DGS who is playing Kick Off on my IPad whilst I use my ancient IPad that is so slow. Everyone else asleep except DH who is doing DIY downstairs for our DS.
Off to Jump In, whatever that is, as an extra Birthday present for our grandson. Then lunch at the Harvester as the boys like the food there. Then back for a movie and a birthday tea with chocolate cake of course.
Hope those with troubles and illness have some respite.
Good morning from a blustery wet Cheshire. I must admit though, I thought the wind here would be much stronger than it is, mind you, the day is still young, we will see! Lazy day today as I did loads of washing and ironing and housework yesterday. The dog let me have a lie-in until 7.15, heaven. Am back in bed with a cup of tea and the curtains open so I can watch the storm from the comfort of our lovely warm bed ☺
Off out this afternoon to a lovely old pub for Sunday roast, it is in a beautiful village that has many black and white half-timbered houses and is just like a film set (actually, the recent War of the Worlds series was film there). The pub is really old and has roaring fires and very good food, perfect for a wet and wild day like today.
Hope everyone has a good day today and that there is no damage to homes and gardens. Take care x
Good morning from blowy Oxford.
I couldn't sleep last night, worrying about what the winds might bring, but (at the moment) it's not too bad
Remembering the 1987(?) storm so vividly, when over 100 tiles blew off the roof into the street, keeps me on edge. I plan to journey no further than the end of the garden to let Alice & Molly the chickens out (I think they'll be wanting to stay in, they don't like rain). Thoughts are with those who are taking the brunt of the storm at the moment (I think the worst is yet to come for Oxford).
Good morning Michael, Annie to come, and all others, from a very wet and windy corner of Berks.
Have put some pork in to blast, then finish off, before we are off to Church later. This is the day that we give a chap a lift, but got a request last night, for two extras to be taken. So it will be a squeeze in the back.
Dragonfly, best wishes for the next few days, when you say you will be feeling rough.
DH had been in some pain and discomfort, the last couple of days. He has hormone implant/ injections, every 12 weeks, after prostate cancer diagnosis, and wonders if it is a side effect.
Keep safe everybody and have a good day, whatever you may be up to.
Good Morning from a wet and windy Fife. Not a day to be going anywhere so will just stay put in the house. Have plenty to do keep occupied. Hope today isn't quite as bad as the weathermen say
. Keep safe everyone.
Not going out today. Little pooch won’t go out for a wee either. Ginny 42 - don’t go for a walk in the woods! ?Madness! . Reading papers, pottering and watching a few Agatha Christie’s that I have recorded. Quite nice to have an excuse for a cosy day indoors.
Morning Mick, morning All. It’s grey and blustery in our corner of Somerset, front garden is being battered, the back quite sheltered from the wind direction so calmer. Mr C is still sleeping and I’m sure didn’t hear the gun shots of rain on our bedroom window in the night. Admin for me today, not much else. I’m hoping Mr C will do the ironing. Thinking of everyone with health. and other worries, stay safe and hope Sunday is kind to everyone.
Good morning from the Shropshire borders. We were woken by the thunder this morning, very heavy rain and blowing a gale now.No plans to leave the house.More sorting and preparation for decorating today.
I think I know the pub you mean Curly. My mum lives in that area,we were up there yesterday.I’m sure you will have a lovely lunch.
Sending good wishes to dragonfly and gilly for better days ahead and to all with sickness and family worries?
Good morning from a grey, breezy Colchester. We will get the storm this afternoon and so I will get to Lidl for opening at 10am and we'll snuggle down for a quiet day with a roast dinner. All our planned activities have been cancelled.
