Who one earth is he please anybody? He seems to think he speaks for the nation.....isn't he on X factor?

tickingbird- I'm with lucywinter, it's more a case of 'it' , ie common decency.
I've read Trump supporters, racists here in the Uk, repeating the view that they have been silenced, not had a voice. That's what happened to white supremicists who thought it wrong that lynching black men was no longer acceptable.
Their desire to speak out loud their bigoted views became unacceptable.

lucywinter Tue 14-Jan-20 19:09:46

Not a case of 'who'. More a case of 'it'.

Common decency.

Iam64

Who decides what's unsayable?

Iam64 Tue 14-Jan-20 18:46:25

"its all a front, it how he earns his living"

Oh that's ok then, being offensive, bullying people and saying the unsayable, all acceptable if its how he earns his living.
Just like his friend Katie Hopkins

Harris27 Tue 14-Jan-20 18:38:41

Horrible man!

ExperiencedNotOld Tue 14-Jan-20 18:35:06

I never watch GMB so never see him giving voice live. I do read his Daily Mail articles and sometimes find an element of sense. It’s all front, it’s how he earns his living.

GrannySquare Tue 14-Jan-20 18:25:44

All these years I have used my common sense & articulated my point concisely& clearly to now find out that I am using
‘... right wing code for right wing racist misogynistic opinionated stupid bigot.

<gulp>

He does seem particularly obsessed with Meghan.

I think his ego is bruised, having sung her praises.

tickingbird Tue 14-Jan-20 17:41:42

suziewoozie has said it all. And it isn't just her opinion. Anyone reading his tweets would feel the same.*

Well suziewoozie does think she knows it all and it IS just her opinion.

lucywinter Tue 14-Jan-20 17:05:17

suziewoozie has said it all. And it isn't just her opinion. Anyone reading his tweets would feel the same.

A really nasty individual.

Chestnut Tue 14-Jan-20 16:57:49

I think he was really annoyed at being used on her climb to the top. Powerful men don't often get used and he has never forgiven her for denting his ego (rather like someone putting a bit dent in your shiny expensive car). Having said that, she has really upset people in the UK and he is just expressing the viewpoint of many others.

quizqueen Tue 14-Jan-20 16:11:35

Piers has a right to his opinion just the same as anyone else. The fact that he actually does know Meghan, as they were formally reasonably friendly and mixed in the same social circles when he lived in the States, gives an insight into her behaviour that none of us, who have never met her, know. I think he recognises her for the fake social climber she is.

maddyone Tue 14-Jan-20 16:00:15

Did we welcome him back? I wouldn’t know.

timetogo2016 Tue 14-Jan-20 15:23:00

Oooooh Hetty58.
Does his wife know ?.hahahaha
I think he`s entertaining TBH.

trisher Tue 14-Jan-20 15:21:18

Piers Morgan bombed in America. He was given a job on a programme that was very popular and he destroyed it. It had some of the lowest ever viewing figures. So apparently Americans have good taste in some things. Why the hell we welcomed him back I don't know.

Bridgeit Tue 14-Jan-20 15:15:43

Good post Growstuff

maddyone Tue 14-Jan-20 14:59:24

Thanks Growstuff, I’ll remember not to watch ITVs Good Morning Britain now I know.

Actually, I’m sure I saw him once, or was it twice, not sure, on Question Time, which I do watch. But it was a while ago, and I’ve no idea now what was being discussed, or what he said.

jaylucy Tue 14-Jan-20 14:58:24

I stopped watching the breakfast programme on ITV because of him!
I sometimes wonder if he actually has any friends left!

growstuff Tue 14-Jan-20 14:53:15

So did Charles 1, Stalin and Hitler stand by their beliefs!

How sad that the best paid so-called journalists are respected more for being controversial for the sake of it and muck-raking, not whether they're any good at investigating and reporting facts.

SalsaQueen Tue 14-Jan-20 14:25:27

He's the host of Good Morning Britain. He's loud, opinionated, and some people don't like him.

I only watch the programme when he's on it. I agree with practically everything he says. Like him or loathe him, he stands by his beliefs.

growstuff Tue 14-Jan-20 14:19:18

Piers Morgan has been successful precisely because he demonises people such as Meghan - in the same way Katie Hopkins made a living out of being vile. He jumped on a bandwagon and then kept it rolling - and the mugs love it!

growstuff Tue 14-Jan-20 14:17:12

Absolutely right maddyone - Piers Morgan being one of those who uses Twitter to vent nasty views.

PS. I don't watch it, but I believe he's a presenter on ITV's "Good Morning Britain".

Yehbutnobut Tue 14-Jan-20 14:15:54

Oh many of you would - he’s ill informed, misogynistic, stupid, opinionated and up himself. He thinks saying something makes it true

Nice one Suziewoozie ??

lavenderzen Tue 14-Jan-20 14:15:22

He is controversial and I saw him yesterday morning and was really shocked and disappointed at his comments in respect of Harry and Meghan. I switched channels.

Oopsminty Tue 14-Jan-20 14:13:30

Ha! Piers Morgan has been very successful over the last 15 years or so

I don't think he needs Meghan's help!

She was only a very minor actor in a very minor show

Oh and of course, being on Deal or No Deal, opening boxes I believe
