My favourites are
Rising Damp, Allo Allo, Father Ted.
At least they didn't need the F word to get laughs.

I loved and still do - The Likely Lads as I used to live in the north east. Still Game is another of my favourites as well as Only Fools and Horses. Oh and the Vicar of Dibley, especially the christmas meal one. Fabulous!

Many of the above, but also the American sitcom ‘Soap’. It was on late on a Thursday when DH was out with chums. I also liked ‘some mother’s do ave em’ but couldn’t watch it now.

Ever decreasing circles, and Just good friends, Fawlty towers. I could never understand the humour in Blackadder.

Phloembundle Sat 07-Dec-19 11:51:54

Phoenix nights, Lead Balloon,
Early Doors.
Went to see Early Doors at the theatre a little while back. Brought it right up to the present with most of the original cast. Absolutely fantastic. One of the highlights of my year.

HiPpyChick57 Sat 07-Dec-19 21:59:11

Helennonotion Sat 07-Dec-19 23:17:21

I loved Goodnight Sweetheart! I've always wanted to time travel!

Callistemon Sat 07-Dec-19 23:46:14

Lots of the above plus
Outnumbered
And I can't wait for the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special - tidy!

I wish I'd seen Stella as I heard it was brilliant
I used to love the little exchange between Geraldine and Alice at the end of Vicar of Dibley

I'm not keen on American sit coms, they seem to have a different sense of humour to me.

Father Ted for my pick. It used to be on tv here in Canada every Tuesday evening. My kids would hear me laughing so hard, they always knew what I was watching.

Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps
Friends
Gavin and Stacey
Fawlty Towers
Vicar of Dibly
Hold the Sunset
but prefer a good quiz to a sit com.

HiPpyChick57 Sun 08-Dec-19 13:17:46

Callistemon Stella was so funny. Full of Welsh valley’s humour. Not too everyone’s taste I must admit.
Ruth Jones who plays Nessa in Gavin and Stacey co wrote it. It was filmed around the area I live and one day much to our delight we were passing a church where they were filming one of the scenes. We jumped out of the car raced across and I managed to get a selfie with the handsome Patrick Ballardi who was in it at the time playing Stella’s love interest.
I too can’t wait for the Christmas special of Gavin and Stacey.
