I like the Scots expression, “dree your weird” which means experience or undergo what is meant for you, your fate or your karma. We are a fatalistic but also a stoical and determined people.

I’ve never heard that expression and I’ve lived here for a long time! Just asked my (Scottish) colleagues and none of them have heard it either - every day’s a school day!

Auntieflo I love "Susurration" too, I remember Terry Pratchett using it but can't remember what book/s it was in.

I love the words Oligopolistic, Ethnomethodology and Phenomenology.

I don't get to use them any more but loved the rhythm of them.

May be it's because the tutor who introduced me to them was Welsh and had a lovely way of speaking. Also he was a lovely man, bit like a favourite granddad so happy memories.

Also, like others "Ethereal" invokes something that I can't name but it's lovely.

I love the word schmutter. It reminds me of my Nan, a dressmaker, who always felt clothes to see if the fabric was ‘ a nice bit of schmutter’.
