Having just watched the interview with Emily Maitlis, I just cannot make my mind up about him , I find it strange that he could not recollect having that photo taken with the girl with his arm around him , I thought he was very cautious with his answers, What do you all think ?

No I it is the wrong word...but the poster has no heart or feelings.

suziewoozie Sat 23-Nov-19 00:19:07

Absolutely agree with that pink

oldgimmer1 Sat 23-Nov-19 09:09:18

I have not said that I do not have sympathy for the victims, the alleged victims, or for Giuffre.

And I find the notion that I cannot be a woman because I think rationally and logically deeply offensive and sexist.

suziewoozie Sat 23-Nov-19 09:12:56

Using her surname only is a deliberate negative act towards her old.: As for your thinking rationally and logically, you’d be lucky.

suziewoozie Sat 23-Nov-19 09:13:56

You’re definitely a ‘man’. Have the courage to own it, it’s not your fault.

MawB Sat 23-Nov-19 09:14:51

It’s not the rationally or logically oldgimmer it’s the lack of empathy

oldgimmer1 Sat 23-Nov-19 09:18:34

So it's ok for a man to be logical, rational and "lacking in empathy" but not a woman? hmm

suziewoozie Sat 23-Nov-19 09:19:46

Who said that? Totally fallacious conclusion drawn illogically and irrationally.

Callistemon I think you are right. The moral role model is not necessarily the same sex parent, or even a parent. Possibly Ghislaine was much influenced as a child by affection and other goods lavished on her, so that she also imbibed the moral attitude of the role model. I do believe this happens although I wonder what status it has in law.

Interesting article in the paper today, suggesting that with the queens demise there is not a lot holding the monarchy together, and it is possible if not likely that it will implode.

oldgimmer1 Sat 23-Nov-19 09:47:41

@white: I haven't read the article yet but I think it's interesting the way the Monarchy have responded to the PA situation.

Even HM didn't come out of Borisgate looking great, did she?

I think the way he's been chucked under a bus suggests a lack of confidence and yes, once Her Maj goes, what's left?

Time for a regroup with Charles the head of a slimmed-down monarchy?

They'll survive though, I think. But there'll be less emphasis on "the Royal Family" and more on "Monarchy".

They always manage to adapt.

oldgimmer1 Sat 23-Nov-19 09:48:20

"He" being PA, not Boris!

Anniebach Sat 23-Nov-19 09:52:28

I wish those who speak of a slimmed down monarchy would name who should not carry out royal duties .

loopylou Sat 23-Nov-19 10:05:58

I would like to see a slimmed down monarchy; Charles, William, Catherine (not sure about Harry and Meghan in light of their grievances with just about everyone, perhaps they'd be happier doing their own thing and earning their own money?). Then the next tier would be Anne, Edward and Sophie.
Definitely no role whatsoever for Andrew (and Fergie who's probably not going to be happy with the £££££ cut off - and why was she summoned to the Palace?)

Anniebach Sat 23-Nov-19 10:28:48

Yes loopylou but that is how it is now , with the exception of
Harry and Megan. Charles blocked Andrew’s daughters from official duties and having security. Edward’s children still in school, Anne’s children do their own thing.

Andrew is out, Fergie been out since the divorce.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 23-Nov-19 10:35:13

According to the same article that while Andrew was making the programme, his erstwhile wife was enjoying herself cavorting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He of the chopping people up fame - particularly reporters who disagree with him.

“Everyone has been so nice here in Riyadh” she gushed. “ That is what comes from having good leadership”

Blimey

MawB Sat 23-Nov-19 10:36:01

????

suziewoozie Sat 23-Nov-19 10:39:19

Yes - when I found out where she was whilst he was doing his interview, I just thought ‘Of course she was’.

Anniebach Sat 23-Nov-19 10:40:45

if Andrew had been born before Charles !

Gonegirl Sat 23-Nov-19 10:51:00

If that is true Wwmk2 that is absolutely shocking. Stupid woman.

Gonegirl Sat 23-Nov-19 10:54:36

It is true. Unbelievable.

suziewoozie Sat 23-Nov-19 10:59:40

If that is true? Why the doubt? Of course it’s true with knobs on. Not all of us on GN post false information - I for one check my sources carefully and I know I’m not alone.

suziewoozie Sat 23-Nov-19 11:02:16

And why is it unbelievable - where do you think her and PA get all their money from if not regimes like this and other corrupt oligarchs? You do know who he mixes with don’t you? .

Gonegirl Sat 23-Nov-19 11:02:21

Oh you daft woman!!!! Why do you always have to argue? I've already said it is true. Read the bloody posts.

Gonegirl Sat 23-Nov-19 11:03:46

If I say it is unbelievable it bloody IS unbelievabe.

(I deleted the last part of that post because they would have deleted it anyway)
