Would it be considered rude of me to ask how old we are? I’m surprised for example to read if a poster is a great grandmother or is ‘going out to work now’.

I’m 65y.

60 - with a mental age of around 13. Still don't know what I want to be when I grow up ....

I'm 63, but in my head still think I am in my thirties! However one look at my face in the mirror with my reading glasses on soon puts me straight! Have been told that I don't look my age, but that's probably due to being petite and no grey hair as I have dyed it since I was in my 40s!

54, 55 in December, won't be able to reverse the numbers again until December 2025.

It's fine until I pass a mirror.

I`m officially 59.
On the inside 21.
Sense of humour of a daft uncontrollable teenager.
My motto is Old enough to know better Too old to care.

69 and mid thirties in my head???

hicaz46 Mon 11-Nov-19 13:50:38

73 next month, but as with everyone else much younger in my head. It’s only when I walk past a window showing my reflection or because of aches and pains I know I look like my age !

Saggi Mon 11-Nov-19 13:51:53

69 in 2 weeks

glammagran Mon 11-Nov-19 13:52:11

I was 64 in late September. In my head still in my 20’s but my joints tell me a very different story. Still 2 years away from state pension.

NotAGran55 Mon 11-Nov-19 13:56:09

I’m 64 with 2 sons 22 &24 . No GCs thank goodness ?.

Grandma70s Mon 11-Nov-19 14:13:40

Nearly 80. Face is all right and hair still naturally brown, but mobility poor so I think I probably look old as soon as I move.

I have no idea why people lie about their age. I’m quite happy to tell people mine.

Riggie Mon 11-Nov-19 14:14:51

I'm 60.4. Retired as Deputy Headteacher at 58, joined Gransnet when I was 54 looking for advice and have always appreciated the support that is Gransnet along with the virtual friendship. I don't post often, however I do follow the Good Morning threads avidly. Thankyou all for being there, wherever there is! smile

I'm 65 and struggling with ever increasing mobility issues, mentally I handle it very well but physically I'm rapidly declining.
