Would it be considered rude of me to ask how old we are? I’m surprised for example to read if a poster is a great grandmother or is ‘going out to work now’.

I’m 65y.
?

Proudly an active 77 - fitter than I was in my 50’s and the same same weight as I was in my 30’s all because these days I have the time and the desire to be at the gym, in the yoga studio or on the tennis court five or six times a week ......it’s a great stage and age to be!

61. When I first used a senior railcard I was sure someone would question my age but sadly they never did. ?

77 in January and no idea where the last 20 years went. Sometimes feel very scared when I wonder how much time I have left ?

Hello and welcome, Bestgranny.
I'm about ten in humour, around thirty in attitude but as a Baby Boomer I will have to admit to 71. However, I am still not sure about what I want to do once I grow up.

i'm 72 chronologically but inside my head i'm early 30 something. wish my body felt that way too!

Remac Mon 11-Nov-19 13:10:21

I'm 70.
My children are 44 and 42.
But I'm still younger than them.
I still embrace them.
I look after 6 grandchildren. 2yrs - 10yrs.
I still can't go out without my mascara.
BUT
I do not like people lying.
I do not like electronic games.
Never had them. Don't want them
Grandchildren are not even allowed to tak about them in my house.
Home cooked meals everyday.
I'm involved with lots and lots of things.
NOW......
WHAT WAS THE QUESTION.

Tree58 Mon 11-Nov-19 13:12:28

This is my first post. I’m 48 and still don’t feel like a grown up yet. I have 2 children of my own, 2 step children and a grandchild.

I think I'm the baby of the group at 39, I'm disabled and have painful joints ( osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and ME) I feel about 100. I'm not a gran but have two dd’s 8 and 5, pregnant with number 3.
I prefer Gransnet to Mumsnet and look forward to my morning email as it brightens my day.

Thank you all. Xx

64 - I keep singing the Beatles song ‘when I’m 64’ oh dear. I married quite young and had my children whilst I was young - but they in turn all waited ages to have their own children, which makes my grandchildren very young indeed (and how I hope I will have some more yet).

66 last month. Met an 80 year old lady Saturday night when we went to the pub to watch some live music. She offered her seat as she said she would be up dancing. She was - the band played from 9 - 12 with a slight break and she danced to every one of their numbers! Added to that, she has 2 young grandsons who live with her. I told her I wish I had some of her energy. Hope I can be like her at that age.
