Would it be considered rude of me to ask how old we are? I’m surprised for example to read if a poster is a great grandmother or is ‘going out to work now’.

I’m 65y.
?

Yes Stansgran but I don’t know about you but Googling something (love it’s become a verb!) still has the wow factor for me because I’ve not gown up with the Internet. Youngsters just take it for granted!

NanKate Thu 14-Nov-19 14:30:08

Gulligranny you don’t look it on our two meetings and I’m not joking. ?

boheminan Thu 14-Nov-19 14:30:26

Well I have started the spreadsheet to collate the ages! It will take forever, as so many people have posted their age and they keep on coming!!!
I obviously lead a very dull life, but I do like a challenge.
Well done Urmonstongran, ? this must be one of the most popular threads ever!! grin

I'm 63, have been a member of GN for a few months but only posted a few times. My first grandchild, a girl, is due in a couple of weeks.

SparklyGrandma Thu 14-Nov-19 15:41:37

Thank you on behalf of all of us Marydoll ?

It will be interesting to see!

Age simply records the number of years the world has had to put up with you!

My nurse today told me that she, and others, found that the big 30 was the biggest shock of growing "old"; subsequent hurdles were progressively easier to handle.
Why do these milestones become obsessions?
I've passed by several in my time and now hopefully looking forward to the really "big one". grin
Mind you, me and Freda could be hit by a bus tomorrow! sad

Brilliant idea Marydoll. That should be so very interesting. Thank you.

I am fairly new to this too and love reading and laughing at the stories and adventures of the wonderful people on Branson. I was born sept 1952 so that makes me 67.

Granniesunite Fri 15-Nov-19 20:26:25

Sorry should read gransnet ...not Branson.....usual me always in a pickle......

Another for the spreadsheet - I am 69 years old - 3 children and 4 grandchildren - joined GN a few years ago but rarely post - still miss jinglebells

Urmston; Dare you to be even ruderer and invite info on Weight(kg) to Age ratios!. grin After scoffing several mince pies, I've just broken though the Mach 1 equivalent! sad

Jangran99 Sat 16-Nov-19 09:00:06

Just found this!!! I was going to get up at 7:30,but here I am, still abed and loving the thread Urmston, Thank you.?
Another statistic for you Marydoll. I'm 75, still choral singing, line dancing( yee haa), minding DGD's, lunching with friends, running a club for Senior Citizens, heavily involved in Church activities and generally keeping going.(Not forgetting being a GN gamer!)

DillytheGardener Sat 16-Nov-19 09:18:33

I’m 56. Not a grandparent yet but hopefully in the near future ?

Gonegirl Sat 16-Nov-19 10:16:24

75 was when it went downhill for me Jangran.

Ray of sunshine me this morning.

Gonegirl Sat 16-Nov-19 10:18:28

In reply to Rufus, I am now 5'1" (was 5'5" and a half) and weigh a massive 10stone 5.

shit

Jangran99 Sat 16-Nov-19 10:39:50

Get back on the political threads Gonegirl, you ain't gone downhill there??

Urmstongran Sat 16-Nov-19 11:21:55

All I’m going to say King Rufus sire, is that I’m above my fighting weight!
?

Rufus2 Sat 16-Nov-19 13:13:53

I am now 5'1" (was 5'5" and a half
In reply to Gonegirl; from which end did you lose the four and a half inches; top or bottom? Or do mean you can't balance in " Heels" any more? hmm
Btw; we requested weight in Kg; everything is metric here! smile

Mirren Sat 16-Nov-19 17:17:52

Gonegirl Sat 16-Nov-19 17:19:05

I just lost height. It happens.

Gonegirl Sat 16-Nov-19 17:20:30

You can request what you like. I do stones, pounds, and ounces.

Marydoll Sat 16-Nov-19 18:57:57

Haud the bus, as we say here in Glasgow.

This spreadsheet is growing by the minute, without height, weight, etc. being added.
You will be wanting hobbies, place of residence, favourite TV programmes , favourite shops, favourite foods next!!! grin
