Would it be considered rude of me to ask how old we are? I’m surprised for example to read if a poster is a great grandmother or is ‘going out to work now’.

I’m 65y.

63 and waspi. My youthful looking 65 year old husband is often asked for ID. I bought an over 60 ferry ticket on my birthday and was very disappointed not to be asked for proof. Not a problem now however as they have changed it to 65 plus!
I’m young at heart, mainly thanks to being an infant teacher for nearly 40 years and now doing nanny child care once or twice a week, but knee and hand arthritis are stopping me dancing the night away with afore mentioned dancing boy!

My 12 yr old dear granddaughter commented to my daughter, Nana is like a child really isn’t she !

Yeah, I’m 68 going on 10 !

I work with a granny who is 38. Should I suggest she joins us?

74, but I'm sure there's been some mistake on my birth certificate, as I'm really 24...

Juliet27 Mon 11-Nov-19 20:06:44

71 but felt older than that before I had both hips replaced. Still work three days a week.

NannyG123 Mon 11-Nov-19 20:24:25

I'm 64, and full of energy

blondenana Mon 11-Nov-19 20:27:53

I'm 76 I believe, but sure my mother got my birth year wrong, I think I am 21 really grin or maybe just in heart

grabba Mon 11-Nov-19 20:42:53

not revealing my age but will reveal I am passed the old retirement age and only working full time still as I can't get my state pension

Anthea1948 Mon 11-Nov-19 21:23:32

I'm 71 but sometimes I think I'm 35 and at others I feel much older than I am.

63 for 3 more days. Weirdly turning 64 is really bothering me, I think it has to do with the Beatles, well that's who I am blaming!

I’m 2 days younger than Felicity Kendal at 73 - you can’t tell us apart ?

oldgaijin Mon 11-Nov-19 22:25:15

74 and two weeks, going on 34 and two weeks!

dragonfly46 Mon 11-Nov-19 22:26:22

73 but still feel 50!

ExperiencedNotOld Mon 11-Nov-19 22:30:20

61 with a left knee that feels the same. Rest if me around 35, with a brain aged 27. Still working full time in a demanding job with voluntary work alongside. My mother is almost 84 and still works 2 mornings a week and still volunteers.

SueDonim Mon 11-Nov-19 22:37:09

65yo here. I got my first free flu jab when I was 65yrs and 10 days old. grin

I find it a bit disconcerting when filling in online forms that I've now moved into the 65+ age group. ?

Only osteo-arthritis and some weight gain makes me feel as though I'm not still in my 40's.

arosebyanyothername Mon 11-Nov-19 22:58:36

68 on the outside but still 30 in my head ?

GrandmaKT Mon 11-Nov-19 23:01:04

60 and feel very lucky to be retired (though this month I am dealing with my father's will, visiting my elderly aunt and my poorly niece, volunteering for a local charity, babysitting the GC and cycling whenever I can so sometimes feel busier than when I was working!)
