My counters are not huge lovebeigecardigans just well used.

Kettle, microwave, echo show and a recipe stand. I like space and no clutter. I have a slow cooker, food mixer, chopper thing, toaster, blender and hand whisk but they are all put away in the cupboards. I've got lots of cupboards and space which is great. When I didn't more was out on surfaces making it feel claustrophobic and less practical. X

I think all your kitchens sound great! I’m not a minimalist but I do wish I could get rid of the microwave/have a built-in one. Apart from that I’m quite happy with my kettle, toaster, coffee maker, wooden boards, utensil jars, salt pig, pestle and mortar, bowl of tomatoes and odds and ends that come and go. Oh and plants and herbs on the windowsill. I’m having some pull out baskets fitted soon so maybe I’ll declutter then. Or maybe not!

I would never entertain having a boiling tap in a home with children. My DGC is tiny so there will never be one here.

I have a microwave oven, kettle and toaster permanently on the worktop. A shallow shelf between the worktop and eye-level cupboards holds a series of glass jars holding tea, coffee, granulated and demerara sugar, fruit tea, pulses and stock cubes, with smaller jars for herbs and spices. If I make filter coffee I use a paper filter in a shaped plastic holder which sits on top of the mug and drips through. There's a small portable radio on top of the fridge/freezer.

Scales are in an easily accessible floor cupboard, which also houses the blender, basic stand mixer, sandwich toaster (only used by DD when she has a phase of eating toasties), electric carving knife (wedding present in the 1980s and used only to slice frozen bread), along with cake tins, roasting and baking trays.

I don't have an Echo or any other home assistant but my elder DD keeps an Alexa in the kitchen at her house, she has the same worktop appliances as I do plus a fancy coffee machine.

I made my first meal in the Ninja Foodi today. I made a lamb curry, beautifully tender, in 30 minutes.
It's similar to an Instant Pot except it has two lids and will air fry, grill, steam, bake, saute, and pressure cook.
What more could anyone want.?

I’ve got every gadget known to man I think. I’ve quite a large kitchen (6 counters) larger than the one we downsized from but a really tiny dining room you couldn't swing a cat in.Husband likes his air fryer and takes charge of bread maker. Think spiraliser is destined for cupboard under the stairs.

Oven, fridge, tabletop freezer, hand held mixer (in cupboard but used regularly), slow cooker, soup maker (never used), kettle, small Spong mincer (in cupboard but used regularly), old fashioned hand operated Mouli the sort you put over a bowl and wind a handle. That's about it. Oh, and scales with two pans, one for the imperial weights. Believe it or now, I do a lot of cooking and baking.

The mixer is out again as I've just used it but it will go away soon.

I need to go through the cupboards; there is a juicer which has not been used for 7 years (DD used to use it a lot but it isn't easy to wash up) plus other appliances once considerd essential but which haven't seen the light of day for ages.

Callistemon, I make smoothies with a pack of frozen fruit, a carton of juice and a stick blender in a jug. That way you get all the fibre and really easy washing up too. Frozen fruit like forest fruits or raspberries are much cheaper than fresh and all.

Yes, little DGD likes making them by blending it all - the juicer removes all the fibre so it's not so good anyway.

I like my "gadgetless" kitchen. Just have kettle, toaster, coffee maker, radio on worktops.

Have a great corner cupboard (without a carousel - more room) holding large gadgets such as food processor and bread maker.

Tea and coffee making stuff on open shelving above the kettle.

Works for me as I don't like having to wipe worktops around clutter, and prefer to save the space for food prep.

I moved from lots of kitchen surface to very small kitchen surface and tbh this was the most difficult aspect of downsizing. I have a galley kitchen, took the measurements and bought as big a butchers block on wheels that could fit in comfortably, my block has a stainless steel top, so it looks light and bright.

My hob is on the centre of a small penninsula. I bought an excellent carousel and on that have a pot of utensils, some sauces, salt and pepper etc, best of all, it looks very neat

On my block is the heavy food processor, small breadbin and large chopping board. Below are 2 very good shelves, excellent for heavy le creuset, mixing bowls etc. Flat weighing scales in one of the 3 block drawers. T towels on the ends

On the actual tiny work surface:
carousel, echo, kettle, coffee grinder, tea containers, toaster. I have no room for anything else, even my sink unit is only 1 1/4 with one draining side

Everything else is in drawers or on shelves, which are subdivided with the useful lakeland stands and baskets

Where there is a will there is a way and tbh it starts with getting rid or downsizing or hiding but cluttered tops are not very nice
