Soop's warm and welcoming kitchen...

Took Himself to a cafe this afternoon with my coz and my poor man fell and really hurt his pride more than anything but it was quite a shock to the system. Lavender, cream and massage of hurts with kisses to finish off and all is well now though.

Smokie says that I am to tell you that if you see any rainbows hanging around in the bushes you mustn't tell me where they are because he has spent so long trying to get rid of all his collars of many colours! He clearly has the collar release/ejection sorted now as the latest pretty bright blue one, lasted only about 3 hours before he returned home without it and looking very smug. He obviously thinks they all look so much better just where they are now thank you very much!
I think I have to give in and the poor birdies will just have to keep a sharp lookout for him!

Good evening everyone! We went to see The Bootleg Beatles last night in London and didn’t get home until this afternoon. We have been told our builder can start work a week on Monday so panic stations for getting stuff cleared out!

I am a reader of the kitchen, but don't post as I have little of interest to say! However, just popping in to tell Synonymous about Beastie Band cat collars. Nothing else stays on my cats. They are velcro fastening, can be cut to fit and stretch enough to pull off if they get caught. Some of them even glow in the dark!

I decided to do the ironing (lots of bedding) and watch the proceedings regarding "the meaningful vote". I am a little wiser concerning the outcome. What a to-do. Now I shall be expected to report back to MacSporran who chose to spend the afternoon in the garden. A mighty big ask.

It has been a sunny day. I haven't a lot of excess energy right now. It always takes a day or so for antibiotics to kick in. After which, I shall be feeling perkier.

Thanks to my friend and neighbour, it has taken him 5 + hours to connect me to WIFI again.

If it had not been for my friend, Plxsnxt said it would cost £90 call out fee + heaven knows what after that for me to have a fault which was theirs, corrected.

On Wednesday pm I was in touch with billing and sorting out next year's fees and when I put my phone down there was no connection online. I now need a lie down I think but definitley a few glasses of wine when I get around to cooking supper.

I have 3 days of emails to sort out now before I settle down for the evening..

Also sorry to hear of your DH's tumble Synonymous. Reading about Smokie reminds me that my DS and DIL have two cats who are nearly 2 yrs old. Recently they have brought little birds and voles into the house, some still alive! They bought them ordinary collars each with a bell hoping to stop them catching the birds. Sadly and inexplicably the reverse has been the case. ? Are the cats being clever (one is, the other definately not), or the wildlife dull?

Susan56, a postponement is is very annoying but three days is bearable I suppose, just. I hope your DH is keeping his spirits up.

DD has gone to Cardiff with some friends,ex colleagues, two of whom are celebrating birthdays. They are in a posh cocktail bar and restaurant, would love to be a fly on the wall.

I just need to say that at 82 there is nothing I enjoy more than a cocktail and a lovely meal in a good restaurant.
Age doesn't mean we don't enjoy good things.
I hope to have more years to enjoy such things.
I feel very blessed to be able to do them.
