I’m on the party decorations then ! I’m thinking we should go for gold and pearl ?

annodomini Mon 25-Nov-19 13:29:06

ann, If I were you I would use the contact form on www.stockport.nhs.uk/contact

You can find the names of directors on www.stockport.nhs.uk/board .

I would be furious if this happened to one of my family and I'm equally furious that it's happened to one of yours.

annodomini Mon 25-Nov-19 13:31:36

PS It would also be a good idea to send this account of her experience to her ENT consultant and emphasise that she was sitting around in two different A&Es being exposed to all kinds of infection.

Nannytopsy Mon 25-Nov-19 16:37:21

That is a good idea anno. It is so frustrating when good care is let down by poor follow up.
Hope everyone has had a good day - I have been rather lazy today, I freely admit!

soop Mon 25-Nov-19 16:47:03

MacS and I have an early start in the morning. He's to have an oscopy in Oban hospital. Lots of to-ing and fro-ing to the bathroom inbetween,

Goodnight for now. Will report back to you when we return home later on.

Hope all goes well with the oscopy for McSporran and you have a safe trip soop.

ann so sorry your DGD had such a bad time in hospital. Glad she’s back home safely with you.

N&G love the sound of the party decorations. Don’t forget a birthday banner for Tuesday too. I will get some posh horses duvers from Waitrose. Nothing but the best for Galen.

Happy Birthday Galen ??I hope you have a wonderful day. Looking forward to the gin slings later!

soop Tue 26-Nov-19 15:20:48

Happy Birthday to our very own Pearly Queen. Huge cheers from us lot.

Seven hours away from home. We have just returned. MacS has had four samples taken for biopsies. Nothing to fret about (we trust). We're now going to relax and unwind from the very long drive.

Ironing duty in the morning. I shall join you all in our kitchen early afternoon.

Just popping in to wish galen a very happy birthday wine and to see how MacS got on with his oscopy!

Ann, I hope you dgd feels much better today and I echo the advice to tell everyone and anyone you can. That was appalling treatment.

annodomini Tue 26-Nov-19 17:01:03

Happy Birthday Galen. I hope it's a good day for you and a better year to follow. flowers wine party

Galen Tue 26-Nov-19 17:44:12

Thanks all.
Pearly Queen ? Oh yes!
I was called a legend the other day :- twice!
What will my next title be?

Fire drill this am at the court. That meant I had to be supported down a flight of stairs that seemed to go on for ever, then sit outside in the rain until they had loaded all the prisoners into paddy wagons and taken them for a ride are Bristol. Outside for about 20 mins with no coat. Came back into the courts to find the lifts not working, took another 10 minutes to reset them!
I love fire drills!

Galen Tue 26-Nov-19 17:45:20

Around Bristol not are

cornergran Tue 26-Nov-19 18:06:56

A very happy birthday galen, apologies for being late with my good wishes. Been out all day today. Don’t my feet and back know it???

Greyduster Tue 26-Nov-19 18:10:04

Gosh! Nearly missed that one - Happy Birthday, Galen and congratulations on your retirement. ??
Soop I hope MacS’s oscopy went okay - hope he has settled down with a wee dram!

Charleygirl5 Tue 26-Nov-19 18:49:38

Happy birthday Galen and I hope that MacS is resting after that horrendous drive.

It would appear that the winter fuel allowance is now being paid in, mine hit my bank account yesterday.

Happy birthday from me too Galen. Sorry I thought it was next Tuesday blush. Hope you have a great birthday ?

Feelingmyage55 Tue 26-Nov-19 21:27:38

Happy birthday and happy retirement galen. The day you wonder how you had time to go to work is when you know that you are completely immersed in retired life.
soop I do hope you and DH are having a restful evening after the hospital visit. It is simply pouring with rain here and we are clearly getting to the shortest day so I have the lamps on and am am knitting a garment promised to one of the family - they chose a very difficult and time consuming pattern and the deal was something simple - non knitters don’t realise how long it takes. That of course applies to many things; the expert makes it look simple, but I am just not as good at knitting as I used to be. However, it keeps me from evening snacking so that has to be a good thing. panache I hope you are both as ok as as you can be? Off to watch “the gold digger” and see if it lives up to the hype. TOYA

Happy Birthday Galen ! ????????

NanaandGrampy Wed 27-Nov-19 13:03:16

Afternoon all!

We are celebrating our 43rd anniversary today ! So off out for a special late lunch ! There will be cake and champagne on our return . Grampy will be celebrating not having ended up in the ditch this past year ?! I think that’s quite an achievement in itself ?

soop Wed 27-Nov-19 14:55:01

A super-duper happy 43rd anniversary to our dear NanaandGrampy. Us lot are looking forward to celebrating with cake and Champagne. flowers sunshine wine cupcake and (((hugs)))

kittylester Wed 27-Nov-19 16:57:10

Congratulations NanaandGrampy - do you think it will last? Lovely photo!

I've been thinking about panache too.

loopylou Wed 27-Nov-19 16:58:33

A belated Happy Birthday Galen ! I too thought it was next week ???
Many congratulations NanandGrampy ????, that's a lovely photo!
It's our 43rd in January!

Horrible murky wet day here, thank goodness the nights start drawing out in a few weeks! I was born on the shortest day and always felt cheated somehow!

soop Wed 27-Nov-19 17:13:59

I was given to understand that the one of the feral felines is to remain with the lady who, right now, has three hiding under furniture in her home. At the end of the week, it may become clear what will happen to the other two. They must have secure outdoor accommodation and, when they become used to being fed and sheltered, to be free to roam well away from the road. They have lived on a huge farm all their lives. Nowhere near traffic. I continue to fret about them and will only be happy when their future has been secured.

soop Wed 27-Nov-19 17:16:53

I would happily provide the food for the rest of their lives. It's the housing of them that is a problem.

Tomorrow...dental appointments for we two. I am not a happy bunny but needs must.

I shall be back with you as soon as I escape that chair. Yikes!

Happy Anniversary enjoy celebrating, n&g, do you think he maybe a keeper? Good wishes to you too Galen, a double celebration for you!
Hope you both recovered from your hospital trip soop and no “nasties” are uncovered in the process.

Christmas shopping in full swing here, I am reaching that confusing stage when I’m in danger of forgetting what I have bought for who and from where! Also somewhat bamboozled by some of the gift suggestions from the older grandchildren! Who knew that make up needs its own miniature fridge or exactly what a bralette is... not me, until now!

Hoping the Panaches are ok and that things have settled for Anne’s gd and sheis well on the mend now after that awful A&E escapade. Hoping you 2 are on the mend too kitty, there seem to be some nasty and persistent bugs about this winter.

We are off with a friend to the big city for a concert this evening. Bus and train services after 7.30pm are sparse to say the least here, so after much deliberation it seems we’re driving! Wishing you all a quiet and relaxed evening and as always toya x
