N&G lovely that Laura enjoyed herself as did the pair of you. A blink of an eye and she will soon be working!
Mila will love that little doll soop.
Galen the thought of a grand piano remotely near me and I would be considering moving and at that age- I would be gone, leaving it all to the estate agent!
Maw your inscription moved me which does not happen often.
dragonfly I am pleased to hear you are being well looked after at home. Please rest.
corner so sorry to hear that both yourself and Mr. C have taken a turn for the worse. Please consider enticing Mr. C to see a GP next week, especially if his nasty cough continues.
After Tuesday my week is fairly free so maybe if you threaten Mr. C with the presence of myelf and moaning Minnie he may well get better so much quicker.
I was pawed out of bed before 9 am today- one would have thought it was after lunch.
The sun is shining and I do not have the heating on- a minor miracle.

WELCOME!
Well for once I have achieved all the jobs I planned to do today. It has to be a first but the sun is shining and I feel energised.
Pleased you had a better day yesterday Ann. You have had a lot to cope with recently on top of everything else so be kind to yourself today.
Lovely words Maw - you are in my thoughts.
Morning all,
Just prepping for our road trip down to the surprise family party for the Queen of the Universe.
We had a marvellous evening here with her ( which was also a surprise for her) and she loved her main gift from us. The week she was born I was in The US and found a shop in the Mall of America that only sold charms and charm bracelets . So I bought one and every year since Grampy and I have chosen one charm each signifying something important in her life . So when we gave her the bracelet she also got the story of her life.
Love the little doll Soop , so unique and obviously made with love.
Lovely words for your memorial Maw .
Well time to hit the road ! I’ll leave you with a picture of Laura and her little brother - where did the years go?
Galen you will surely indulge him, most of us can’t do enough for our GC?
I have just come to bed, my GD is staying with a friend overnight and my S is out.
I have had a better day today after 2 weepy days.
It is only to be expected, very early days for me, I know you who have been through much longer times still have your bad days.
We will get over it.TOYA.
Dogs? DGS!!
Dogs age 3 has said he wants a grand piano for Xmas because ‘ you can see the strings and it’s LOUD!’
I’ve asked darling daughter if she’s planning a house extension to house one?
soop forgot to say how nice your hair looked yesterday. Milan will love her doll. Your new table is lovely. A very good purchase I would say.
What a lovely post maw. Says it all really
Sorry, I just missed your post, corner. I can see the smiles on your faces. Little people have the knack of giving great pleasure. xxx
Panache Thank you, yet again, for a kind and considerate post. You are a lovely lady. Us lot appreciate you.
MacSporran has been attempting to remove a defunct bathroom heater and install a new one. He scares me rigid sometimes. Not because he hasn't a clue how to do such a thing - he does - but because the odd crashing sounds unnerve me good and proper. Anyway, the new heater has to wait until tomorrow. Apparently something inside the old one is required...and MacS cannot get at whatever it is and he's feeling stressed.
I've photographed the knitted doll for you to see. Made locally. It will be light enough to post for under the Christmas tree. Teddy's gift will be chosen later in the week. We have a wonderful shop in Campbeltown selling all items made in Kintyre.
At the village hall, I happened across a super low table. It was being sold to raise funds for the refurbishment of the village hall. It once lived in a beautiful old house until the lady owner died. It was an unbelievable £10. Beautifully made and very well cared for. MacS was certain that it wouldn't fit in the space under the window...ha...but it does. He now agrees that it is perfect for our sitting room. Another pic to add.
I am about to log off. Once again I am thinking of you all. Especially those of you dealing with sadness and worry of whatever kind.
Back again with you tomorrow.

Its been grey and miserable here and would you believe we've both had a relapse, short lived it is to be hoped, seriously tired of feeling so unwell now, my head is full of very painful cotton wool and Mr C is coughing and sneezing constantly. It will pass and its not as awful as the experience of people coping with flooding, I've been horrified at some of the images on tv.
We're both still smiling after a fleeting and unexpected visit from Littlest and his minders. They were passing through and called for a cuppa. A very much more cheerful hour
.
I know you'll be having a happy weekend n&g, a very happy birthday to your granddaughter, apologies if I had said that before, I do have cotton wool instead of a head and as for a b rain I suspect its moved out.
Hope the weekend is going well dragonfly, a germ-free virtual hug for ann and maw and a wish that soop and anyone else managing health issues are very much better soon.
We're promised sunshine tomorrow, I have some bulbs needing to be planted so fingers are crossed. TOYA and take care everyone.
Dark and dismal November, yet we are fortunate in getting away with no flooding and in fact many a sunny day here and there.
So upsetting, and such a bind for the many fearing yet more heavy rain.
This time of year and of course Remembrance Sunday is always a very emotional period for very many.
This was highlighted by finding my new neighbour in floods of tears, she had been married 61 years,he was a soldier and she lost him 2 years ago.At 88 years of age now she simply said she loved him now more than ever. But that all the hyp around this time of year gets even more difficult to deal with.
Sometimes only a comforting arm and the gentle squeeze of a hand will suffice.
Then hearing of both Ann and Maw`s stories with their own turmoils it really does make me want to count the many blessings we still have, although it may not be altogether perfect, every day together is a great bonus.Your postings brings it home to me and sets me thinking.
Not again dear Soop I am sure you must be truly sick of yet another UTI.These repeated "attacks" does get you down and I hope relief is on its way.then nothing like a new hair cut to show the world that actually you are fine!!
A brave move Corner,a case of taking the proverbial bull by the horns and dealing with things that cause you grief......simply one day at a time.Hopefully your next Dental appointment will settle you down now that you find you have been and come away unscathed.
Thinking of you Dragonfly and trusting you will remain so upbeat.
Sending love and blessings to you allxx
Back from the craft sale. Purchased a hand knitted doll in a kilt for Mila. Will photograph later.
I'm certain that I posted a goodnight comment, too. If so, where be it?
This afternoon we're off to the village hall to see the many local crafts on sale. hoping to happen across an unusual festive season gift, or two.
A damp day. Nothing to moan about. Certqainly feeling sad for those in the flooded areas of England. It must be heartbreaking. Especially for those who have experienced the likes in the past.
The queen of the universe certainly looks lovely in her photos N&G hope she has a good birthday.
I am sure I posted a comment yesterday and can even remember what I said but no trace of it ?
maw and ann
Lovely inscription maw
Another one typing through the tears. I love your inscription Maw.
dragonfly thankyou, I also think about you and wish you well.
Having been through it myself and come through to the other side, I know just what you are feeling and experiencing.
Thank you Soop you are so kind.
Maw and Ann Reading your posts tugged at my heart strings. I ask myself how I would be feeling in your position. The very thought, as dragonfly remarked, brought tears to my eyes.
dragonfly I continue to think of you every single day.
Lovely pictures of your lovely GD N&G and of you Soop I hope you are feeling better.
Maw and Ann your posts brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry you are going through this but hope you can look back soon without pain.
It is a beautiful inscription Maw.
I hope you will feel able to post photographs of the headstone when it is in place.
I totally understand Maw there are constant reminders which means it is so hard to come to terms.
My H adored my GD , she is our first GC and the circumstances of her birth made her very precious to us, we needed to protect her.
Her 21st birthday yesterday was so difficult for me as he should have been here to see it.
Her mum and I took her out for breakfast and I broke down , one of the very few times, and I upset them both.
I hope you get through next week with happy memories as well as sad ones.
Not a easy weekend ahead, it is two years since Paw died and inevitably my mind keeps going back to “this time two years ago”
I thought I had it pretty much under control until the lovely stonemason Pip Hall who is engraving his stone (green Cumbrian slate, similar to what he chose for our fireplace) said she would be bringing it down from Cumbria and installing it n our village churchyard next Thursday and suddenly it is all very final. I realise that I have been quite content for things to remain “unfinished”
It is going to look lovely and I will take her to the pub for lunch after which should “normalise” what is still a very unreal situation.
But more and more I am glad I chose the inscription “ To live in hearts of those we leave behind is not to die “
