May I give one example of something which I found cruel ?

Diana wrote her book published 1992 , Harry was 8.

in it she said of Charles reaction to Harry’s birth ‘he looked at the baby and said ‘another boy and he has red hair’.

Would they not have known the sex of the baby whilst she was
pregnant? Would any scans have been kept a secret from Charles and the Queen ? No way.

Was this kind to Harry ? Was it necessary?

Yes Sparkle the same rule applies to Charles and Camilla so
why not understanding for Camilla who was married to a man
who had affairs?

I never thought much of either of them for giving television interviews when they had small children who would have been subject to sniggers at school. Diana, "St. Diana of the Doe Eyes" won the cringe award; with the "tampax" Prince coming second.

Diana has been dead for 22 years and people are still arguing about her - can we not just let the woman rest in peace.

Charles did not give an interview on that tape and Diana did not gIve an interview on the squidgy tape.

Charles only spoke of his marriage once and it was one answer
to a question by Dimbleby , asked about his affair with Camilla he replied ‘yes when the marriage had broken down’

I have said nothing against Camilla. She was married to a man who had affairs while she was having an affair with Charles. She and Charles are welcome to each other.

I just don't understand how you could say a few pages back that she would be the ideal consort for Charles when he is king. You haven't condemned her at all, yet you condemn Diana. Why not be kind about both of them?

And I agree that Diana should not have repeated what Charles said about Harry when he was born .... but where is your criticism for Charles saying it in the first place? His wife had just given birth for goodness' sake! It was hardly a loving comment.

Your posts are full of justification and defence of Charles and full of harsh judgment against Diana - there is no balance.

Thing is Becket her sons dont want the world to rest in peace..they keep bringing her up as part of conversations and the recent re-enactment of the minefield scene with Harry .
While there are still people who remember her ,they'll continue to use her for PR ...like mother ..like son

What else is there to say about a baby?

When I had no 2 I told people I had had "another" girl and she had no hair! And her weight! Benign factual statements. It was DH that told me her sex (I saw the hair for myself before they put the hat on)

Camilla would make a good consort because she is dignified! Nobody would know squat about her private life had Di not aired it all!

As for her being "tidy" (and other women not) what a vile vulgar thing to say in public!
She never did strike me as a woman who would ever get on with other women anyway but that really is low

The thing is, if Diana is to be castigated for having affairs with married men, then the same rule applies to Charles and Camilla.

Its really not comparable. Having a "lady garden" doesnt imply that those that dont are dirty/damaged goods.
