I love nice clean sheets , my pillow is shaped high at one side lower at the other and very firm I hate to much weight on me or heat so I have a microfiber duvet, its very light, I read before I snuggle down and then hope to sleep some nights it does not happen and like Bradfordlass72 feel so grateful for my comfort as many don't have a bed or roof.

The greatest pleasure is just getting into bed, what bliss and what a privilege to have a warm, snuggly, clean bed when in this city and beyond, so many are sleeping in cars and under bridges, often with young children. sad

I usually listen to an audio book for an hour or so, take a magnesium capsule and a glass of water to avoid getting cramp in my naughty left leg. Then I turn onto my side and pull the fluffy sheets up round my ears, shape my feather pillow round my neck and breathe deeply for a while, being grateful for everytthing. moon

My hot water bottle. (Most of the time.) But this year has been so different.

Fluffy bed socks and a microwaved wheat bag help me to get cosy. I read for a while until I'm very sleepy then put off the light.

Oh anagram I’m the same! I actually talk to my pillows as I’m walloping them into shape! Can’t sleep if they’re not ‘right’.

I pummel my pillow until it is exactly the right shape to support my head and neck. I am very fussy about pillows - I like a pillow with just the right amount of loft: not too firm and not too soft. My pillows don't last long!

Just been reading a thread about duvets. It seems that crackly down duvets are much disliked. I love my crispy crackly duvet, the noisier the better as I climb into bed. I sometimes have a little fight with it just to provoke it.
Do you have any hygge bedtime routines, something that inspires pleasure, and anticipation of a a hopefully good night's rest ?
