before you ask me if i would say speak this way to any of my friends I can assure I would never be friends with anyone like her. No heart or soul.

By repeatedly putting out her horrible remarks she is asking for these replies. The question I wonder is why does she do it?

I certainly take it all with a pinch of salt becayse it doesn't affect my lufe in any way.
There is only one person I feel is fair, ordinary and I could trust if the need ever arose but we've never met and not likely too anyway.
This is just like a pressure cooker. A place to let off steam and get answers from people you don't know.

Oh my goodness! Having read through this thread I cannot believe the vitriolic comments and accusations made towards Gabriella. She made observations about anonymous people she’d seen in the street. If she’d noticed how many disabled people or ethnic people, would that have been offensive or racist? Of course not. She was making an observation and thereby inviting discussion. Why on earth does she have to be insulted and pilloried by so many people who have been so much more offensive, personal and cruel? YOU are the bullies by being so nasty to her. Shame on you all.

Actually, if she'd pointed out how many X ethnicity people there were and was rude about them, YES that would have been racist. Your saying 'of course not' doesn't alter the offensiveness.

Common sense gone made when someone who is rude about others turns the tables and makes out their innocence.

If you keep doing the same thing, and getting the same response, maybe you should look at the thing you keep doing and change it.

Why would you assume that someone who is overweight doesn't exercise? I've just seen an extremely overweight (obese) young man doing tribal dances; he was agile and nimble, just brilliant, probably more so than some of the slimmer dancers. He must dance twice a day most days entertaining tourists.

He was extremely charming too when I met him afterwards.

Ps I'm not bullying Gabriella (I'm sure she knows that) but just wondering why people assume that overweight people must be inactive and lazy.

You have mentioned overweight and obese people on several threads and I wonder why you have such a concern about this.
Is it because you are genuinely worried about a possible health crisis due to obesity, if so why?
Do you or some of your family struggle with their weight or have a problem so this is a personal concern? If not, why does this seem to worry you so much?

It would impact on others occasionally such as being seated next to an obese person on a plane but I can't think of many other instances where this would affect others.

Callistemon If you live in the USA and are over a certain girth, you are compelled to buy 2 airline seats, even if it is clear a slender person could easily sit next to you in comfort.

In New Zealand, very many Maori and Pasifika people are extremely large, as were their forebears.
There is little or no prejudice against bigger people in these cultures.

We also have prestigious national competitions each year to find the best culture group from each of the Islands and within Maori tribal areas.

These teams practice almost every single day and nearing competition date go into 'boot camp' mode; the level of exercise being phenomenal.

As the person who first mentioned Ferragamo shoes, can I just point out that Gabriella is only in the limelight because she reacted to the name by rising up in a fury at (supposedly) being pinpointed in a general description. She had not been identified - if she has in the past posted about her shoe-buying, I doubt anyone would have remembered without her indignation.

All I can say is the sooner this thread is deleted the better.

I can only say again, I did not realise it was the OP who had a pair of those shoes. I thought it was any old random poster that had posted on GN that they had a pair.

My post where I said I was sorry came out as being sarcastic. I didn't mean it that way. Gabriellas post did make me feel sorry about this whole thread.I am going to ask for my to be deleted.
