Today in Guildford, I was reminded if a thread a while back re persons who are fat/overweight.
I was beyond shocked to see 4 simply huge men and similar women, at different times, none of whom were together and all of whom were truly enormous.
I would find it unbelievable if all 5 were to fall back on the 'I'm diabetic' excuse.
The idea that people can let themselves get into that state and keep eating (as 2 of them were) is very sad indeed and then they moan that they can't fit into bus or airline seats and can't work because of A, B, C or D.
Are there no answers to obesity because there were also some seriously overweight men whose man boobs and bellies hung pendulously over their trousers.
On another note.
I had an appointment at Virgin Money in Guildford.
On arrival I was immediately greeted by a beautifully turned out advisor who offered me tea, coffee, biscuits...?? and showed me to the several sumptuous velvet armchairs and settees piled high with velvet cushions.
The 60" tv was showing the BBC afternoon news and weather and my drink was placed on a coaster on a glass table.
A man with a hi-viz vest was lounging on a swivel chair opposite, dunking biscuits in his tea and reading a newspaper.
At one end of the room was a fully kitted out kitchen with a white modern dining table and chairs and a 'rest room' with M&F loos situated on an adjacent corridor.
The ceiling lights were enormous with plush red, gold and black drum shades inset with circular mirrors which reflected the floor areas.
I completed my business seated on a red velvet banquette with a top spec Mac pc suspended from the ceiling which could be pulled down and angled to suit the advisor.
When I left, she invited me to drop in any time I'm in town to take refreshment and read, watch tv chill out.
This begs the question where does the money to support this, come from?
I don't even bank with them, mind you, the furniture was utterly luxurious. ?
ggey they k iw know
I wasn't citing you Gonegirl
My reply was to others who do know I bought the boots...not shoes
and carried on the silly jibes.
It's the same old crew and ggey k iw who they are.
Your comment in italics about 'being so very unpleasant as you' was not something I wrote...*not*my post.
Let it wash over you. We don't really know anyone on here unless we've met them in real life.
I certainly take it all with a pinch of salt becayse it doesn't affect my lufe in any way.
There is only one person I feel is fair, ordinary and I could trust if the need ever arose but we've never met and not likely too anyway.
This is just like a pressure cooker. A place to let off steam and get answers from people you don't know.
Have a great weekend. I believe it's going to be a sizzler. ☀️☀️☀️

before you ask me if i would say speak this way to any of my friends I can assure I would never be friends with anyone like her. No heart or soul.
By repeatedly putting out her horrible remarks she is asking for these replies. The question I wonder is why does she do it?
GG .You have no idea how lucky you are and yet you are horrible about people you know nothing about.
I like people who have there own mind but I value a kind heart above all.
Sometimes people are very ill and their medication makes them put on weight plus they can not walk let alone exercise. It breaks their heart to see themselves grow fat and they call themselves ugly though their family do not.
But Gabrielle will call them all kinds of judgements. She will blame them and taunt them and encourage others who should know better to do the same.
Shame on you GG .
Also shame on all all the mealy mouthed ones who say that they would be fat if they did not have such amazing powers of self restraint.
I find Gabrielle offensive. She boasts and pretends not to.
She is unkind and says she is only commenting.
What an example you must be to your DGC !
Jesy.
Her weight looks fine to me but I can't see her standing up. Never heard of the lady but that's what you get for plastering yourself all over social media.
Her before and after photos show changes to one of her features and it's not done her any favours.
If you're in the public eye you have to be tough as old boots because with fame comes a loss of privacy and that's too high a price for some people.
You can't have it all.
Gabriella I didn't even know it was you that had bought the Ferragaro shoes.
What pleasure can anyone get from being so very unpleasant as you.
I'm not sure what I've said on this thread that has been so unpleasanttbh.
I don't think it's necessary to to talk, or even think, about posters' backgrounds.
Gonegirl you know exactly what I mean by different backgrounds. What pleasure can anyone get from being so very unpleasant as you.
Gabriella why do you post such nasty things, why do you correct other peoples posts which I have seen you do on other threads when you make so many mistakes yourself?
Don't worry about my language look at yourself. Funnily enough I find you a interesting poster and don't normally take offence at what you write, however I just felt today you could have kept your thoughts about obese people to yourself and not posted it online. I watched the documentary about Jesy Nelson yesterday and the effect it had on her when people commented about her weight and appearance. One of them being the vile Katy Hopkins. She wanted to take her life at one stage.
I don't care what people think of my appearance like I said I am happy with it, but some people are badly affected by this.
Message withdrawn at poster's request.
I might eat a bag of crisps. I'm starving.
(That to HettyMaud)
Only 1 letter B in my name.
rafichagran
Why do you need to use that sort of language?
F , shit, bloody? no need for that...
Have you never ever commented on anyone at any time in your life?
Not anyone in RL, on tv or in the news?
Wow!!
Kudos ?
Here's an award ??
I went from a size 10 to a 16/18 as I have to take medication.
I for one could not give a shit what Gabriella thinks. Why the f... does she feel the need to comment on other people. I look bloody good in my clothes, have no intention of dieting, and my partner is a good looking athletic man who is not shallow and is not interested in my weight
So Gabbriella I suggest you enjoy your life, stop looking and commenting on other people.
I agree Gabriella the usual suspects out in force, and in my view this whole bitchy thread should be deleted.
Cat, pigeons
???
I'm amazed that anyone could ever think I'd be a victim. I'm certainly not one. Never have been and never will be.
Enjoy the sniping. It says everything about you.
Oh drop the victim act, GG. You do it deliberately. Set the cat among the pigeons and then enjoy the feathers flying.
janeainsworth, hahaha, me too!
As for SirChenjin 's comment about me going home and writing about what I saw...isn't that what millions of people do millions of times a day all over the world...you, your AC, GC, GGC?
FB Twitter Instagram WhatsApp are full of it...with photos, the more embarassing the better in lots of cases.
Don't tell me none of you have ever gone home or met a friend and said...'You'll never guess what I saw/ heard today'...
Hypocrites.
Well, the usual suspects have well and truly hacked me to bits and rightly so...in their view.
Not content with making a banquet never mind a meal, of my OP, you have judged me as flaunting my 'wealth' when you k ow notbing about my reason for going to the Virgin Lounge indeed I've never set foot in the place before.
I certainly was taken aback at the interior (too blingy for my taste but I don't live there) and the interior and service was what I commented on.
Has no-one on GN commented to friends or family about the cabin and public rooms on a cruise liner? Have you or your AC or GC never posted pics on social media from luxury holidays abroad or lovely restaurants they've visited or special occasion dinners they've been treated to?
You talk about Ferragamo boots as if I paid the earth.
They were bought years ago in Cambridge when I was still working and cost about £250 in a sale.
I mentioned this months ago on a thread to do with, I think, clothes/ shoes.
Many of you post about cruises planned for this year and next, costing hundreds if not thousands of pounds. You also tell of new bathrooms; having a designer draw up plans for a new bedroom for a GD; decorating from top to bottom and buying new furniture and carpets, none of which comes cheap.
It never crosses my mind to think that the poster is 'showing off'.
They are facts, events you are looking forward too yet, if I get pleasure from buying something under £100 or even years ago, £250, I get vilified.
I wonder why.
I do live in a large period property but only in part of it, a 2 bedroom flat, as I've mention months ago elsewhere and it's not mine, I rent it.
I get laughed at for being a cheapskate and shopping in Primark (sweatshops and buying poorly made goods are frequently mentioned in the same comments) but if I mention anything remotely approaching M&S prices or, heaven forbid, my one Sahara foray, then I'm reminded of the homeless, food banks, people on low incomes who struggle blah blah...and given advice in spending less and giving to charity.
I think it's time you looked at yourselves and the things you write because you really have no idea about me. You have several pieces of a jigsaw but you haven' t got the full picture. What you don't know, you are assuming and supposing...and judging.
You carry on, it doesn't affect me in the least. You know full well that I speak my mind and never distance myself from the truth but I don't tell you everything about me.
Knowing what I now know about some posters, to do that would be to give you access to the knife block and I'm not that daft.
BTW, anyone with £25 to save can go any time into a Virgin Lounge anywhere.
Not so posh...eh,?
Enjoy your weekends ???
Grrrr!! I’m now getting Ferragamo adverts on my Instagram

I changed banks from Nationwide and switched to the Metro Bank and was treated pretty much the same way as Gabby was in her place, only difference was it was me dunking my biscuit in my coffee.
As for being overweight we shouldn't judge people on how they look, its unkind. We all know people can be overweight for any number of reasons from medical to social, parents who pass on their lifestyle choices to their children and so on. We need education in cooking skills and nutrition in schools and for those leaving the care system.
In Gabby's defence she lives in her own little world and has the compassion gene missing.
Not sure they have the same effect on an old bird. Thigh high boots. Not Fitflops.
Oh, yes, that must be it.
