I still haven’t got over being called a total twit GrannyGravy

The land is dry, and the people are ...stupid?
Here we are again

Jolly good company...

Ann In you come.
There's more than enough room and refreshments for us lot to share. What's more, the sun is shining brightly.
Care home visit in the morning. Then, a Tesco shop. After which, home to continue painting a very pretty girl who goes by the name of Wilma.
TOYA. Will join you again in the afternoon. Do try to keep out of trouble.

I'd like to join in the tea and biscuits please - no reason, I just like tea and biscuits.
gg13, I wouldn't say you are silly but most of us would class as old(er) ladies so what a silly thing to say.
galen I hope you get the form sorted before you go travelling again.
Not fair to mention fish and chips gd. We are having salmon which is really good for you and, therefore, not hf as nice as fish and chips.
Do they offer short stays in your new residence Panache? A few meals worth of not thinking would be Brill.
Back later.
Quick visit sadly but I’ll have a cuppa while I’m here, please,
Take no notice grannyg and ann, rise above it all. Think I’m safe as my posts are usually ignored
.
Oh blimey charley, it never rains and all that. Hope you’re rising safely after tomorrow’s visit.
Could do with a Chinese, panache, haven’t had a decent one for ages. The way things are going the next Kitchen outing will be to yours for a meal.
. Salmon sounds healthy kitty, I’m keeping quiet about what I’ve eaten today
.
The cats are certainly as pampered for as they permit themselves to be soop, hope tomorrow’s care home visit visit goes well.
Sounds as if there are lock picking traits in you both greyd. Always something. When the same thing happened to me I was fortunate as our builder neighbour was home and rescued me or I could have been sleeping in the car, he was a very useful neighbour, we often miss his presence when bits fall off our home.
TOYA and take care.
After enjoying such a great holiday, we’ve had a lovely day today doing favourite things locally. Breakfast out, a trip to Harlow Carr and then of course there was coffee and cake! So the new healthy eating regime really does need to start, but since we are going out for dinner tonight, much like the holiday laundry, that will have to wait until tomorrow! It’s our Golden Wedding Anniversary today, we’ve really been celebrating for the last 2 weeks! How can it be 50 years since those 2 ridiculously young people said “I do”? Feeling so blessed to have my love beside me still, he is by no means perfect
. I’m also acutely aware that many others don’t have their special person by their side so don’t want to seem like I’m showing off either.
I hadn’t realised the great criminal minds I’m consorting with in this kitchen... I now know where to come should I need a lock picked! Sorry to hear about those of you dealing with admin issues, why do things that should be straightforward often end up being so blinking complicated?
Well I need to get off and put on a bit of lippy, but of course I have to leave a few photos! Thankfully we are in better condition than those battered old rings! The sunset one, snapped by a friend while we weren’t looking pretty much sums us up these days and seeing the rainbow was a real treat on our way back home this after noon!
By no means perfect, but then neither am I, so he’s definitely a “keeper”! ?
GG and Ann I do not know what to say about the name calling. One reason why I stay close to the kitchen I think. Would these folk say that to your face- no I do not think so.
The builder has finished and I have paid him- I can hopefully relax now. With any luck, I can have a lie-in on Saturday if Tara will allow it of course.
Pleased to hear that the cats have found their appetite again .
TOYA
grannyqueenie Congratulations 50 years is a remarkable milestone ??
Charleygirl5 I often wonder the same, maybe because I will not argue could be their problem?
TOYA ?
grannyquennie and Mr queenie many many congratulations on your wedding anniversary ???
Congratulations mr and mrs grannyq, hope you’re enjoying your meal. The sunset photo is fabulous, We also managed 50 years this year and sat looking at each other saying ‘how?’ and ‘where did 50 years go’?’ We also realise how lucky we are to still have each other, well most of the time
.
Bit of a laundry disaster here today. Not a good plan to wash pale cream undies with dark jeans. Interesting striped effect [need a disappointed emoticon]. Oh well, worse things happen at sea
.
Many congratulations to Mr and Mrs Gq on your golden anniversary, and I’m sure all the lovely photos you’ve shared with us will continue to mark the occasion splendidly! Enjoy your dinner! ???.
Well the football was great, but we all got very wet. The mist and driving rain came down from the moor and the whole thing looked like a scene from the Hound of the Baskervilles, with goalposts!!?. Home now with a ham sandwich and a single malt!
cornergran I had my own laundry disaster today! DGD is disabled and has problems eating, so consequently many of her tops have food stains. I offered to try washing 3 tops. One was white, and I used a stain removing bleach specifically made for whites. To my horror, everywhere it touched turned bright pink! I put it through the wash, it was still pink, hung it on the line, and bizarrely all the pink disappeared. But sadly the bolognese stains are still there! Oh well, c’est la vie!
Anneliese
I hope we get the sunshine we are promised for this weekend.
There is nothing better for those tomato based stains than fresh air snd sunlight .
I wish you well.
I am off to my bed now, goodnight all.
TOY.
Happy Anniversary to the Qs!
This is the view now from our bedroom window - Autumn is coming! The vines are white grapes and picking starts today. I can vouch that they make delicious wine
.
We have had a lovely holiday and are well rested but now I want to go home and sort out the house. Never satisfied!
TOYA
You know when you have had a good holiday and feel ready to go home don’t you?
I have loved this week in Germany and have never felt lonely, certainly never left out, but now it is time to get back to real life and I will be very happy to see Hattie again tomorrow morning!
MawB glad you have enjoyed your holiday, I bet Hattie has missed you.
It is our wedding anniversary today, (we got married on Friday 13th) only 28 years, as we "lived-in-sin" and had children before we got round to marrying!!
I am off to the gym first thing, then a quick sprint round M&S food hall (on orders from GC who is collecting the mini shop food. Followed by school pick-up.
Tonight we are going into Leigh-on-Sea for dinner.
Have a good day
Congratulations to Grannyqueenie and her H and Grannygravy and her H.
I hope you had and are having a lovely day.
My H and I had 60 years together.
Happy Anniversary GrannyGravies, That’s what my auntie described as “try before you buy,”!
Lovely view to wake up to nannyT, you sound ready to come home. As do you maw, i bet Hattie will wagging her tail..if she can summon the energy that is.
I must get on the laundry mountains awaits, have a good day whatever you're up to x
The stairlift man has just been and the company sent the same flaming seat size so I still cannot use it. The fitter has taken a shine to me because I am so polite- take note everybody- has ordered yet another which is to be sent to me directly. When it arrives I have the fitter's number and he will pop in on Monday to fit it if they manage to send the correct one.
My singing and dancing fridge freezer will be arriving within 2 hours and then I can lie down in a darkened room.
Best wishes to those who have had anniversaries.
TOYA
All of the metalwork was sitting outside but the scrap man must have taken it- that is an added bonus.
Morning the kitchen, and many happy returns to all with birthdays and anniversaries.
I’m feeling very accomplished this morning as I noticed a had a flattish back tyre yesterday and it’s a very long time since I dealt with a flat. I knew I knew how but worried if I used DHs compressor I’d end up with a complete flat and not even be able to drive to the garage. So I put my big girls pants on found the compressor checked what the pressure should be and Voila! after one false start my tyre is inflated to the correct pressure and I can go pick up my daughter to take her shopping.
Charley what a pain!!!
Have a good day all
What a lovely morning and I hope you all have sunshine wherever you are!
Congratulation to all those celebrating wedding anniversaries of all lengths but especially those Golden ones!
We spent our 50th at the hospital!
We are hoping to be able to celebrate our 60th in more style! Congratulations dear Ann on having 60 years of memories to look back on, a very special collection I am sure.
I ought to be getting on and have a bit of a tidy as we are having visitors today and my cleaning lady was unable to come this week. Best laid plans and all that! My niece and her husband are visiting on their way home from holiday and since we haven't seen them for many years it will be lovely to catch up.
Safe journeying to all those on holiday and returning home. There will be many 'furry people' very happy to get back to normal. One of our cats would pointedly turn her back on us to underline her feelings at her staff having gone missing!!
I am having great difficulty posting today - there must be gremlins in the system!
Congratulations to the GQs. Harlow Carr is a great place to celebrate. I take it that the coffee and cake were enjoyed at Betty's restaurant in the gardens?
Charley, that company needs a very thorough b*****king, but not until after your kindly fitter has completed the work and you are sitting pretty on the seat. It can't have been much fun having to manage the stairs without your lift.
tanith, much admiration for your achievement. I've had several flats and punctures in the past year or so. I blame the state of the roads. I do hope your tyre has stayed up.
It's a bright morning in Cheshire and I should get out in the garden and prune my climbing rose which has been a joy again this year. I have managed to put together two 'string' chairs bought from Aldi on line, but haven't had the weather to sit outside. So for now they are cluttering up the house. They look quite trendy but it's a small house.
TOYA
Oooh Charley it goes on and on!
Hope it all gets finished to your satisfaction very soon.
Tanith I am so impressed!
Charley, that’s shocking!
The fridge freezer was delivered 45 minutes early so that is great, the rest of the day is mine even if I cannot get upstairs.
It is sunny here but with a definite nip in the air.
Tanith goodness- I am seriously impressed.
Provided I do not get the stairlift man into trouble I ma not going to pay on Monday until I have been given a discount. If this is how they treat me with a new stairlift being fitted how will I be treated if it breaks down? Wait a couple of months? I have zilch faith in the company.
