Kettles usually " know " when other equipment fails as when this happens and you decide to make a drink----it too dies. I've had this happen in the past and ended up using a milkpan to boil water until I bought another kettle.

My sympathies, ninathenana. Only a week or so to go.... smile

We were just bemoaning the fact that our fairly old lawnmower and dehumidifier both refused to work today, and were wondering what would be next.

Then we found that a fuse had blown. Phew!

This month we have had to replace the fire in the lounge we have central heating too but I like a fire.
I have just been told my washing machine which is about 4 yrs old will cost too much to repair, so tomorrow we have to buy a new one.
What will be the third item to replace I wonder.
On top of this I have paid out for our over night in Nottingham and kitted out the GC with new uniform and shoes.
Beans on toast the rest of the month I think.
