Been out to a pub for a meal with an old friend who is visiting the area- happy.
Missed a turning on the way home and got a bit lost in our lanes- moaning.
Then slipped into bed very quietly and fell fast asleep immediately. Calm.
3in one?

I'm feeling quite neutral at the moment, so thought I'd add to this thread. It's first thing in the morning and wonderfully peaceful. Thunderstorms are forecast for later, so I won't be going out. I shall take advantage of the good light and sit by the window doing my cross-stitch. I'm doing one of Tutankamen, which is very intricate and needs good light to see by.

I've had a very quiet day. I spent a while printing some "truth or dare" questions for my DGD10 birthday party and putting them in pretty boxes. Then I took a picture and sent it to her so she can see what Grandma is up to.

Walked to the shop bought a few groceries. Now having a cup of tea.

I'll need a lie down after all that excitement.

Well I missed the last post yesterday so I’m afraid my old loo seat won’t reach you until Tuesday at the earliest MerseyBelle . Do you think you just cross your legs until then ? grin

Sara65 Sun 04-Aug-19 10:01:53

Should be doing all the stuff I hate, cleaning, food shopping, but bugger it, we’re off to the seaside

harrigran Sun 04-Aug-19 10:23:00

Lots of things I could be doing but I think I might just take the newspaper into the garden and enjoy the capm before the storm, literally.

harrigran Sun 04-Aug-19 10:23:38

Calm even ?

gillybob Sun 04-Aug-19 10:34:12

Yes Harri we are bracing ourselves too !

Been for walk with a friend. Will settle down to eat brunch and listen to The Archers omnibus which I record on my TV. Problem is it will probably send me to sleep and I know what the storyline will be as I couldn't resist reading the Archers thread on here.

Just had a 45 minute walk to buy a newspaper. So that's my exercise for the day and now I can relax.

Quiet lunch at Botanic gardens, a walk, a visit to an antiques centre and now home to binge on Poliakoff. Nice.

Had a lovely Service in Church today, it re-energises me for the coming week.

Was interrupted by DH, who needed a paintbrush. That led to me tidying the drawer.

So does that mean that 1 negative + 1 positive = 1 neutral or do I have to post one on Moaning and one on Happy? Rhetorical question as I’m too lazy to do that anyway! ??

Bathsheba Sun 04-Aug-19 15:26:56

My hair feels all damp and sticky after standing in the kitchen cooking for the last hour or so. It's making me feel so hot and uncomfortable, but I can't be bothered getting up and going to find a hairband to get it off my neck.

#uncomfortablynumb

Bathsheba Sun 04-Aug-19 15:28:25

Hmm, did that sound like a moan? Wasn't meant to be - I'm happy to be away from the kitchen, catching up with GN, so that balances it out.

#neutral

After 16 people for lunch, they've all gone, washing up done, I think I can sit down in a chair with my knitting and fall asleep
It was very nice but tiring.

My French helper has asked if she can be let off duty to sit in the garden and read. She can. Don't I sound like a harridan!.

Cherrytree59 Sun 04-Aug-19 16:11:55

As this is a neutral therad would a ? be in order ?

Rewarded DH and myself with a cafe and a Chelsea cupcake,
after having to do a food shop on a Sunday due to extenuating circumstances school hols.

Managed to avoid the shite middle aisle, result ?
well didn't actually spot any must have 'useful' items ?

Gonegirl Sun 04-Aug-19 17:13:43

Cherrytree I have eaten far too much chocolate (brought back from Switzerland by DD) and your emoji has made me feel sick. ??

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sun 04-Aug-19 17:20:32

But I like moaning.

Cherrytree59 Sun 04-Aug-19 17:22:08

Oops best not mention sweets!????

Upright emoji ?

Day6 Sun 04-Aug-19 17:25:31

Oh dear that should’ve been on the happy thread ! I’m getting really confused between happy, moaning and in between

grin grin In stitches here gillybob I know what you mean!

I am somewhere inthe middle of a range of emotions I think confused so ok to post here.

The cricket is STILL on, so for days I have been banished to the other room where I have my music, books, laptop etc. I think I quite like this little world of my own. Himself has just shut the door on me as my music wafting about the house doesn't go with his cricket commentary,

If there was an evil thoughts thread, I'd post that I have just turned up the volume.

I managed to rinse the carpets that I cleaned yesterday but forgot to rinse. The pale grey in the living room looks wonderful. We were thinking of changing it but no more. It has had tomato pasta, red wine (twice), milk, chocolate and white wine dropped on it so really pleased.

Now to cook the organic roast beef that Prince Charles grew for me with my special Yorkshires.

Gonegirl Sun 04-Aug-19 17:30:21

Prince Charles grows all our carrots for us Dragonfly. Apart, that is, from the ones he imports from Cyprus (which is a bit cheatie IMO)

Anniebach Sun 04-Aug-19 17:36:11

I have completed 2 crossword puzzles and 3 killer suduko , not boring or enjoyable
