Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright and dry here in Brackley this morning, after Breakfast , I will be going out for the Day.
A coach trip to the Severn Valley Railway, unsure whether it will be one or two journeys until the organiser boards the coach in Banbury , but certain free time in Bridgnorth.

Off to the Space Centre today with 2dgc.

Have a lovely day Mick.

Beechnut Sat 03-Aug-19 06:32:51

Good Morning everyone.
A cloudy start to the day on Severnside.
I will be going out in the garden soon to do some project work before it gets too hot.
Enjoy your SV Railway trip Mick. We did it for our anniversary one year.

I hope you all have a lovely day and enjoy your plans ?

Morning Mick and All.

Have a great day Mick I am sure you will enjoy your steam train trip. Bridgenorth is interesting as the town is on two levels and you need to take the lift (can’t remember proper name) between levels.

We are off to an outdoor performance of 3 Men in a Boat. I enjoy the picnic as much as the performance.

Have a good day folk.

NanKate Sat 03-Aug-19 06:33:57

And good morning Beechnut too.

Bellasnana Sat 03-Aug-19 06:50:50

Good morning all, from Taormina, Sicily.

I’ve just been sitting on the balcony of our hotel room and it is already quite warm with a pleasant breeze, I’m sharing a photo of the view from our room. So peaceful and beautiful.

Mick, hope you enjoy your coach trip. It will make a nice change for you.

DD3 is still fast asleep, but we plan to go to the beach later, then tonight we have a concert to go to.

Have a lovely day everyone.sunshine

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. The sun is streaming in.
Baking for our community cafe and picking raspberries and beans later.

We are hosting a French girl volunteer for a few weeks who is due this afternoon.

Have good trips Mick and Kitty and all bound for adventures.

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset. Didn’t get to the supermarket yesterday, too many phone calls, so that’s first job today. Not much else. Sounds an interesting day ahead mick, love the view bellasnana. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.

Good morning everyone from a sunny ? Northampton.

Have decided to go to Rushden Lakes today as I need a new waterproof for a trip to the Lake District. Used to be an outdoor wear concession in the local garden centre where I would have looked first, but someone told me it had closed. It will be a nice day out, and the weather is good. Will probably have a spot of lunch out.

Your day trip sounds good Mick, and Bellasnana, what a lovely place, I am so envious!

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone from sunny Malaga where it’s pleasant (the best) with sunshine and a soft breeze. There’s a sea mist so I can’t tell the sea from the sky - it’s all one washy colour.

I’ve discovered muscles I didn’t know I’d still got after yesterday’s play time in the communal pools. I was ‘the shark’ chasing 3 squealing 7-8y old boys at one stage who had to high tail it back to base!

2y old (miss independent) wanted to swim ‘by my own big self’ so getting her pool ready took ages - sun cream, sun hat, zip float jacket, Peppa Pig armbands and goggles and then she stepped into a swim ring - one with leg holes and a seat. Sheesh!

More of the same today I daresay.

Hope Saturday is kind to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Good morning Mick and all, it's a lovely sunny morning here in Glasgow.

Mick, sounds a great trip enjoy!

We are have a wedding planning meeting today with DD and her fiancé, followed by lunch in the wedding venue.
I know this sounds odd, but we had an updated estimate a few weeks ago and it seems too low. I feel something is missing, so DD requested a meeting with the wedding planner. I won't be complaining if the estimate is correct!grin

Yesterday's visit to the rheumatologist has resulted in more blood tests being needed in addition to my usual fortnightly ones sad
They took one look at all the bruising I have and agreed to hold off increasing my medication, thank goodness.

Bellasnanna, stop teasing me with that view. grin and sending best wishes to Harri. flowers

Wishing everyone a pleasant Saturday, whatever you are doing..

Good morning from the NE coast where we have a relatively bright start . No rain forecast for today hmm but we shall see. Severe weather warning in place for tomorrow though.

We had little Evie until quite last night (it would have been easier if she had just stayed here). She’s hasn’t been very well these last few days and her eating/sleeping pattern has gone to pot a bit . I feared she may have caught Chicken Pox from her big cousin but she seems a lot better and I think she would have had some spots by now. She was still squealing with delight and playing on the swings in the park at 8pm with no intentions of going to bed whatsoever, but my DD said she zonked at about 9 which would have meant a good nights sleep for them both.

No plans for today except maybe a bit of a garden tidy up if it stays fine and perhaps a walk into town for a bit shopping later.

Felling a touch jealous of those enjoying warmer, sunnier climates as this summer has been a complete washout so far. I hope you continue to have a lovely time in Malaga Urmstongran how lovely for the children to be able to play in the pools.

Thinking of those who are not feeling very well, including Harrigran .

Have a good Saturday everyone x

Morning all.
Fairly bright in Kent this morning. Hope it gets better as we are going to a birthday garden party this afternoon.
Hope all those having days out have a great time.

Lins1066 Sat 03-Aug-19 08:26:00

Good Morning all from an overcast S Welsh Coast. I hope that it will be cooler today.
Going to the Opticians later to choose new glasses, DD coming with me to advise grin.

Best wishes to harrigran.
Lovely view Bellasnanna.
Hope everyone has a good day whatever their plans, or none.

Good Morning All x
Bright and sunny this morning with a bit of a breeze but there isn't that heat that summer usually brings. Still, as gillybob has pointed out, the forecast for tomorrow includes a weather warning so storms----again for us so will make the most of today.

A bit of hoovering ( hovering ) to do today and must wash the nets as where the window has been open there's quite a difference in colour.
Bought a small bunch of flowers which include 6 red/pink roses from Asda on Tuesday and it's still beautiful ( £3 ! ) so lovely to have kept this fresh.

Not a lot on the agenda. I feel a bit in limbo with the imminent central heating work so no use doing any deep cleaning until it's finished. I'll have waited nearly a year !

Those ladies on holiday, keep on enjoying yourselves, it all sounds fabulous, everyone else just enjoy your day. Mick too, have a good break.

harrigran Sat 03-Aug-19 08:40:50

Good morning everyone. I walked the floor and sat in the study until 6am then came back to bed. DH woke me coming out of the bathroom but he didn't realise I had been awake all night.
Consultant was very thorough yesterday and thinks that I have separated my stomach muscle. CT scan in less than two weeks.
Painkillers don't work .
Quiet day for me.

Sar53 Sat 03-Aug-19 08:52:25

Good morning everyone from the Wirral. A little grey at the moment, hope the sun comes out as we are going to a 60th party in the garden later.
Yesterday we took the ferry across the Mersey and had a good walk . Later DH showed me where he used to live and go to school. We ended the day eating fish and chips by the sea. We both slept very well !!!
We are off to try and find where his parents are buried this morning.
Have a good day everyone.

dragonfly46 Sat 03-Aug-19 08:59:56

Morning everyone.
Trip to Vannes yesterday was lovely but one friend was much in need of some TLC so I hope she feels a bit more comforted today. Had a smashing lunch in a Routier with many charming French workmen!!

Harrigran so sorry to read about the pain you have, thinking of you. X

Sar53 so envious, haven't been on a ferry across the Mersey since a small child. Have another good day there today.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Hi all from a white skied very warm (22° and rising) Godalming.
Last night felt humid and even a sheet was too warm a covering.

Ran a good 5 miles earlier and scales showed 2.1 lb loss ?? so I had 2 nectarines 1 pear and plain yogurt for brekkie...I've hidden the butter. ?

Not much on as I did an M&S shop yesterday and Aldi/Hermes parcel delivered while I was out.
2 'bobble' cushions in rust and cream, a heavy blue textured 'runner' and a ginger/cream coloured herringbone lumbar cushion with pom-poms. All that for £26 and free delivery in 3 days. Can't beat it.

I hope the sun is shining (or at least the promise of warmth) and you have a wonderful weekend wherever you are and whatever you're up to.

I think Mick has a penchant for places beginning with letter 'B'...don't you?
Bradley, Buckingham, Bicester, Banbury and Bridgenorth. ??
flowers for those of you not feeling too good. It may be a day for putting your feet up brewcupcake

Morning all from a bright South Notts.
A lazy-ish, self-indulgent day with the newspaper and the lawnmower later.
Hope all is well with everyone, whether at home or abroad.
