Is the verb " to prang" Scottish, never heard it in many a long year.

I went out for lunch to a nice country pub today and we sat in the garden to eat. Ate some lunch and then took a sip of my lager and lime. I hadn't seen the wasp that was clinging to the inside of the glass. The pain was indescribable; absolute instant searing agony. With a rapidly swelling bottom lip, my OH managed to pick out the sting that was still sticking out, so that helped a bit. I've got a bottom lip that looks like it's been run over by a truck and my teeth feel like they've been taken out with pliers and out back in with a hammer.

What is the point of wasps, may I ask? And why are they such aggressive little s**ts?

Oh Lordy the lady with the toilet issues, quite impressed by a broken seat .....and no mention of said broken seat/

Its Saturday evening I am still p....d off that I am getting nowhere with my to do list. They are only smallish things but I just cant get started.

I found out something quite bad this week. Was very upset and had to take a stand on ethical grounds. I know I was right and others agree but it's been a big thing for me. Sorry. Being mysterious but I can't go into details. Why is life so complicated?!

My aloe plant is looking a rather skinny.
Perhaps I should feed it up a bit..
It doesn't help that my neighbour regularly knocks it over when I put it outside for a while.

My small dog is sitting in the kitchen, gazing at the shelf where her treats live. I can hear the occasional sad groan interspersed with angry yelps. I wish she wouldn't do this. I can't live with the guilt.

Woodmouse49 you have just described me. I decided to revamp my already lovely garden . In my mind it was easy peasy ,in actual fact its almost seen me off .The mind is willing but the flesh is weak ,. But hey next Spring it will look fab but most days I look like wurzel

Wtf? Did Whitewave die? Confused ?

My DS has just been told the Oil drilling site he is working on is shutting down. He has the option to accept a very meagre severance package or relocate with a significant cut in pay. He's recently separated as his wife went off with someone else taking their two beloved sons with her. He's thousands of miles away in Canada, I just wish I could give him a big hug. (sad).

On the plus side, I had a wonderful day out yesterday in Chester. Beautiful weather, Cruise along the river followed by a really delicious afternoon tea (thank you to my Brother & SIL for such a thoughtful birthday pressie).

Its very hot here ATM so I suppose I'll have to go and water the garden!

I have just come back very early from a party to which we were very kindly invited. We had to leave early as I was entirely deaf within 1/2 hr, by the music. DH pacemaker seemed to want to keep time.

It was ghastly.

Can I also have a moan about DH'd total lack of understanding this morning about a lead we needed to move the router. It had to be the same connector on both ends - identical to the one I'd disconnected only twice as long. 3 times he disappeared into the garage and returned with various telephone extension leads/adaptors and just wouldn't believe I was right. In frustration he crawled down under the desk - no mean feat for his rather large bulk and tried to plug the damned thing into the BT socket and finally realised his error. A round trip to Currys sorted that problem out.

I won't even mention the full day putting up two security cameras .........

I plucked up the courage to use the carpet cleaner I bought a year ago. I was wondering why the carpet wasn’t getting damp when a bit flew off. Then all went well, or so I thought but now I realise I forgot to rinse. Will have to do it all again tomorrow.

Mr Magoo returned from Wilko but can’t get the toilet seat on, something to do with the fittings not being right. He’ll have to go to B & Q tomorrow to try and sort it. In the meantime I have to balance on the ceramic hard pan which is very uncomfortable. He’s never been good at DIY. He fitted the spy glass in the front door last year and it was only when my daughter visited two months later we found out it was the wrong way round.

Wished I was dead at the party, it took me an hour to pluck up the courage to leave early.

I can do a great moan about having to go to parties. Never liked them. Especially if they were in someone's home. Give me a dark seedy nightclub any day.
