The weather is awful, it's not even August and the nights are drawing in. My husband has an irritating cough and the cat has disappeared.

I decided yesterday to buy new sofas , don’t think I will now ?

MissAdventure Thu 08-Aug-19 10:00:59

I may have some for sale soon, Annie grin

I have been sneezing and my nose has been like a leaky tap since the beginning of May, I have bloomin well had enough!!!!!

I have to have a camera down my throat into “flip knows where” before the end of the year!!!

Oldandverygrey Thu 08-Aug-19 10:27:56

Still no update on Bohemiam's non laying chickens!

EllanVannin Thu 08-Aug-19 12:21:36

After my moan on the good morning thread about my "bloody" nose, my INR appointment has now been brought forward to 2pm today instead of next week. I've been scared of having a heavy fall of soot because of the warfarin. The dosage may need adjusting but I won't know until after the blood test.

My nose is so irritable but I daren't blow it just in case it doesn't stop bleeding. I'd been a bit dizzy and headachy this week but took no notice so now I hope it gets sorted.

Why do I always battle on with things when they could easily be resolved , thinking they will go away ?
Trouble with me is I don't like bothering anyone.

You answered your own question there EllanVannin . I think its an inbuilt thing in some of us. I hope it gets sorted for you soon.

Oh I slipped up there, forgot to moan.

Ah well here goes..... Its another sh*tty day weather wise here on Tyneside. Cloudy and heavy rain too, nowt new.

Had a dreadful couple of days trying to negotiate virgin media's on line support. Added poor customer service to my list of complaints!
On day 3 changed tack and went straight to the disconnection service ready to do battle!
There I 'met' a charming young Scot who arranged to replace the 5+ year-old failing equipment. Negotiated a new deal turning a £4 increase into an £11 pound reduction.
The following day a very pleasant young engineer arrived promptly and installed the new router and TiVo box!
Problems solved but my review praised the people involved while slaying the automated online 'assistant'!

I bought a large wool rug from John Lewis and it keeps shredding ball of fluff and I can't vacuum it as it clogs up the cleaner. Fed up.

What to do.... well later today, when I have the energy I am going back with todays collection of fluff and complain. Best bit of today is I have been given a bag of runner beans.

I hope you have a very big flat MissAdventure!

When DH drives to a carpark he gives me the ticket which I pocket, then pay for and hand back to him at the exit. When I drive I put the ticket between my legs, get out of car forgetting it, have to run back and scramble under car to find it, pay for it and put it into machine as we drive out. I am coming back as a man in my next life!!

I fell over at the weekend and buggered my knee and ankle. My email, FB, Instagram were all hacked along with my Amazon, Next and Ebay accounts. Had to change all. Topped off with a 'Sextortion' email this morning old my old email account! Would be laughable if it wasn't so dangerous for someone more vulnerable. Mid day on a Thursday and I need a Gin (or two)

Lessismore Thu 08-Aug-19 12:46:50

eek what's Sextortian please? I don't think anybody would want to sextort me.

Rowantree Thu 08-Aug-19 12:49:41

Our house is cluttered as hell and I can't get motivated to do anything about it.

It leaks, needs a lot of expensive work and we can't find reliable builders to sort it.

My father is having a colonoscopy tomorrow and I'm worried but trying to get on with moaning about petty things instead.

knickas63 Thu 08-Aug-19 12:57:23

'Sextortion' in my case was asking for money or they would release stolen web cam footage of me 'pleasuring myself'! Nearly fell off my chair laughing! Apparently the body of the message is usually something similar, relying on the fact that in the privacy of their own home people get up to and view all sorts! People are often too embarrassed to report it. I will - could be awful for someone else, but my 'conscience' is clear [angel]

RobertReny Thu 08-Aug-19 13:11:55

I love cracking my knuckles, but I m afraid of damaging my finger joints.

Lessismore Thu 08-Aug-19 13:21:28

Oh God, I completely forgot about the web cam. I'm in big trouble now.

I think I left it running (?) the other day when I was making an apple crumble. And there was the unfortunate incident with the Griselinia littoralis 'Variegata'.

The dishwasher has packed up, I’m already sick,of washing up, there’s another pile waiting. DH is ignoring it and also ignoring the fact I’ve worked my butt off all day and presented him with a lovely tea including home made ratatouille and fruit tartlets (all made with home-grown fruit and veg). Not a word of appreciation. Now he’s snoring his head off and I can’t sleep. hmm

cornergran Fri 09-Aug-19 04:32:07

It’s 4.30am and I’ve not slept a wink. Why? I suspect because my allegedly (large!) de caffeinated coffee ordered at 5 yesterday afternoon wasn’t. Oh well, I’ve nearly read a novel so not wasted time hmm.

PageTurner Fri 09-Aug-19 05:16:29

I drank two lovely Margaritas tonite with dinner.
I hope I will be able to sleep tonite.

BradfordLass72 Fri 09-Aug-19 07:43:57

RobertReny I used to do that as well. Never damaged mine.

Turned on my computer first thing, as usual and left it booting to go make my first coffee.

Came back and the whole thing seemed frozen. Couldn't even do a soft reboot.
Had to do a Devil's Reboot instead but the same thing happened.

An hour later, after several reboots I am hopping crossly like Rumplestiltskin.

Can't get online, can't access Word, can't do any wretched thing because the computer will NOT respond.

Then I finally had the wit to look at the task bar .....and I'd somehow managed to lock it.
Sheesh, 30+ years computer experience totally forgotten smile

As I'm going to a wedding tomorrow and looking like a milk bottle due to my colouring, I decided to use some fake tan on my arms.
This was probably not the best of ideas, as I have very painful hands and reduced dexterity.
It's been a very busy week, due to child caring duties and hospital visits, so I have been slapping it on at bedtime.

Eventually having 5 minutes of peace last night, I decided to inspect my golden tan. I have a giraffe pattern on my arms!!! Many shades of tan and a good few patches of white thrown in. sad
I'm wondering if I should risk tinting my eyebrows! Red hair is a curse, it brings all sorts of problems!! grin

gillybob Fri 09-Aug-19 08:14:02

Oh Marydoll I can smell that lovely biscuity aroma of false tan from here grin

You could try using one of those net scrubby things in the shower. That should get rid of the streaks. I hope the weather forecast for your wedding is better than what we have in store for this weekend !

Marydoll Fri 09-Aug-19 08:25:48

I forgot to mention that my arms are covered in bruises, due to my new meds. A new breed, the blue and tan spotted giraffe.
You are so correct, Gilly, the smell is overpowering!!! I may pass on applying tonight. grin

Auntieflo Fri 09-Aug-19 08:43:51

But Marydoll, giraffes have the most amazing eyelashes!!!

Marydoll Fri 09-Aug-19 09:15:00

grin. Auntieflo, the problem is that my eyelashes are so fair, that you can't see them.
Going on my past history with allergies, I wouldn't risk it and I'm rubbish at putting on mascara. sad
