Good Morning Everyone,
Its a clear blue sky over Brackley this morning, and if its right a hot day.
Planning my usual trip out to Buckingham and Bicester , I will take water with me ,and also buy more if needed.
Weekend was OK in Harrogate and York but more later.
Mick

Morning all from a sunny Northampton. Got a load of washing in to make the most of the weather.
Annual appointment at opticians today. Hoping she doesn't say I need a new prescription - another expense I could do without. Only had my current glasses a year.
Then an appointment at the bank to meet my new personal bank manager.
Then home where it will be too hot to do much. I bought a new fan yesterday so will probably try to set that up.
Maw I need a man to come and clear my garage of late DH's 'stuff', accumulated over the last 50 years! I have found boxes that we haven't opened from when we moved here, and that was 1993! I think I will book a skip for when I come back from my week in the Lakes next month, and get most of it done by autumn/winter.
Looking forward to hearing about your trip Mick.

Good Morning from a cloudy but very warm Black Country.

Thinking of my Dad today on what would have been his 96th Birthday. We lost him in 1998, aged75. Hard to believe that was almost 21 years ago.

Going to DD's later to spend time with her and my DGD's. She is a Teacher, so off now for 6 weeks!

Looking forward to hearing about your weekend Mick and what you think of Harrogate, as it is on my 'to visit' list as well as Durham.

Sounds a terrible journey for your SIL Marydoll I hope she has a relaxing day today

Happy Anniversary Lins flowers

A late good morning from a sunny and warm NE coast . I too have had a very poor nights sleep but not sure why? I always sleep with the fan on and the windows open but couldn’t seem to stay asleep . My mind was working overtime ( unpaid of course) .

Your poor SIL will have been exhausted after that “journey from hell” Mary .

I really miss having a garage (tidy or otherwise) Maw . In my last house I used it as a kind of utility as well as a place for the children’s outdoor toys . I live in a terrace these days, with only a garden shed that is stuffed full of bikes, scooters and chairs so hardly any room for anything else.

Good luck with your appointment dragonfly it’s such a shame that the oncologist makes you feel intimidated when really she should be going out of her way to make you feel better. Fingers crossed she is in a gentler kind of mood today .

Happy anniversary Lins flowers

No rest for the very wicked .

Have a good Tuesday everyone x

Good Morning All x
Washing on, lovely hot day, no jumper or cardigan on !
Waiting for two of the " rugrats " GGC, to arrive with me for the day while their mother goes shopping with a friend.

I nipped out earlier to the corner shop for ice lollies before they run out, so I hope they like Vimto ones ! Some children have broken up, some haven't so I'm glad it's not all 7 kids hahahaha.
Park later when washing's out so they can go on the playground there. Their ages are 8 and 11 ( 1 of each ) so not babies and won't be as demanding------says I !!

Hope everyone's day goes as planned, appts, shops etc so enjoy this drop of good weather while it's here.

Good morning to you all, and like most people here, we have a warm start to the day, not so "misty" as yesterday, but more air around, if you understand what I mean - hope you do. Our daughter came yesterday, and we wen to pick up some colour cards from B&Q, planning on having the house painted and redecorating the interior. Date fixed for both those with the decorator, next I have to plan for the old three piece suite to be removed, then new carpet laid and new furniture, that all starts 9th Sept., so hopefully I have time to get a proper timetable for it all. I am sure it will look good at the end. Now, where did I put those colour cards....................Enjoy your days.

Morning all,
As greyduster says, it's already hot and sunny here in South Yorkshire. I managed to find a shady spot in the garden for my cup of tea and breakfast cereal and it was really pleasant, though the shady spots are fast disappearing as the sun moves round.
Not a lot planned for today, may see my friend later if she's free, but otherwise a pottering day. I could go to town to collect a parcel, but it's going to be too hot today, so I'll leave that for later in the week.
Hope you enjoyed Harrogate and York, * mick*.
Happy wedding anniversary, Lins. ?

Good morning from a bright and sunny Aberdeenshire. Yesterday's oncology appointment turned out to be a non event as he hadn't even seen my scan report due to radiographers on holiday etc....it's only been ten days and I still don't know what's going on inside.
The mutt and I are off to the woods shortly, where it is cool and he will probably meet his usual mates to have a good chase.
Have a great day everyone.

Hello to all from a sunny 23° Godalming. Yes...it's that hot right now and climbing to 30° this afternoon.
My usual run along the tow path this morning ended with feeding the ducks and having a cold drink on a friend's narrow boat.
Bought a beautiful blouse in M&S yesterday plus white chinos (£19.50) which fit perfectly. My belly is now much tighter after using a weighted hula-hoop which I bought a year ago and making myself do sit-ups with feet hooked underneath something solid. Takes time but does work and clothes hang better.
Today? I might go to the lido or cycle to the Devil's Punch Bowl at Hindhead. There's a cafe but I might take my own food n drinks as it's a good day to be out and enjoying fresh air and sunshine - plenty of vit D smile
I hope most of you can get outdoors even if just sitting in your garden which, judging by your photos, are fragrant places to idle away sunny days.
??? to all feeling less than 100% and I hope that you soon feel better.

Morning Michael, Annie and all. It is very hot here already and it is my afternoon for volunteering, so hope the fans are working.
DH will be picked up shortly for his radiotherapy treatment, the volunteer drivers are wonderful.
Had a lovely email this morning re my GD and her new job. Well done her.
I have taken tonight’s supper out of the freezer, lasagne, so nothing urgent to do now, except try and stay cool.
Have a good day one and all.

Glad I am not alone in delighting in a skip and a really good sort out. Garage a bit small for the car but now shelved and sorted and I know what is in it and where. Go for it, Blue Sapphire!

Good afternoon from a very sunny & warm Devon. I'm late as I had Podiatry followed by shopping this morning, not been home long. Might do a bit more tidying up in the garden or I might just take my book outside & sit & read hmm

GabriellaG54 Tue 23-Jul-19 16:13:51

16:13 and temp in Hindhead is 31°

GabriellaG54 Tue 23-Jul-19 16:17:05

Apparently 33° now back home in Godalming. Phew! I can check on my outdoor camera.

Hats off to all you early risers. I'm afraid I've always been at the "other end of the day". I can happily stay up until 2am and rise at 9am. Is it only me?
