Sara65 Buying books, I’ve got piles

I always thought you got that from sitting on concrete, not from reading.....

oh I forgot, one of my other guilty pleasures is taking my youngest grandson (12) to the cinema - so I can watch the latest superhero films smile

Like Gabriella, I was born without a guilty gene (despite being raised Catholic)!

I guess it would be chocolate though!

maryhoffman37 Thu 18-Jul-19 11:00:54

I'm not guilty about my pleasures! Too busy enjoying them.

Diggingdoris Thu 18-Jul-19 11:13:52

Pottering in the garden instead of doing the housework.
Buying books from charity shops. About 300 waiting to be read! I keep a list of books by my favourite authors in my handbag. Trouble is my stock is growing faster than I can read them.

Buying fabric, I have a sewing room full! If I live to be 150 I doubt i'd use it all. Now signed up to have a table at 2 fabric destashes coming up soon. Must then somehow stop myself replacing any that I sell . . .

Annaram1 Thu 18-Jul-19 11:48:33

I don't feel guilty about a single thing.

minniethemoocher2 Thu 18-Jul-19 11:53:33

Love eating chocolate (especially the Lidl equivalent of Mars), I like to eat chocolate with a mug of tea so it really does melt in the mouth! Love to do this whilst reading in bed, or watching the Handmaid's Tale ( the 3rd series is the gloomiest yet), but I have to see it thru until the end, the chocolate helps!!

My guilty pleasure is the internet, i am addicted to it and over winter when the excuse is - no need to tend to the garden, i spent days on the internet getting up to shower and eat and not much else. I subscribe to every newspaper world wide, that takes a lot of reading, read book reviews, theatre reviews, and on it goes, the list is endless, and just before bed i watch UTube - comedy or a film - though deep down i wish i got out and used a gym again, or took myself to see a matinee show in the west end - and if i have visitors i find it intrusive though don't show it - i have become what i call - weird !!!

Spending at least 2 hrs doing my cross stitching in a morning before getting my shower. Felt better about that when I read that Princess Margaret used to be woken up at 9 am with breakfast and she would spend the next 2 hrs in bed reading the papers. At least I do my cross stitching down stairs.

Watching old episodes of The Professionals and Touch of Frost! But I don't feel guilty. Any more than DH does watching his F1, DTM, Indycars, V8 Supercars, etc.

Camelotclub Thu 18-Jul-19 12:48:20

Oh, and buying vintage yarn on ebay. I have far more than I can ever knit up in my lifetime.

Going on a big slide with my friends 2yr old gs. I said I would take him on it as she was worried he was to small to go on it on his own., it was great fun I took him on it about 10 times.
