I wanted the earth to open up and swallow me

Going to catch th bus to work one morning and thought it was a bit chilly round my bottom . When cars went pass they kept tooting . To my embarrassment i had my nurse uniform tucked in my knickers . It's a good job i was slimmer then .

Pants not actually coming adrift but on a bus I suddenly felt a cold wet sensation creeping up my back. That's strange, I thought and then it dawned on me - I must have sat on a damp seat where a pink sugary drink had been spilled. A big pink stain had appeared in a very personal place.
Nothing for it but to go to the nearest shop to buy new trousers and pants. No changing rooms in M&S in those days so had to get to work and use the loos there.
When I get on a bust these days I always test the seat to make sure it's dry before I plonk my backside down.

Last winter on arriving at the hairdressers I removed my jumper before putting the gown on. Imagine my embarrassment when I felt my top riding up over my head at the same time, revealing my bra. My hairdresser rushed round to shield me from view at the window. We had a good laugh afterwards.

Not me but this happened to my mum many years ago:

Dad and mum were in the middle of a Scottish country dance which was part of a series of demonstration dances at a function Cape Town.

During one dance, during a reel, her knickers dropped. She just had to carry on dancing and hoped nobody noticed it was her!

i got even worse embarressment. my d wedding day wore a pair of nude hold ups . only thing they didnt hold up,...i could feel them slipping down my legs. so kept yanking them up.managed to keep them up the whole of the service. then calmly went off to the loo and took them off.. took them back to M&S for a refund . they refused as they said they had been worn.,. i explained what had happened .they said well these things happen. so i took it further and got to speak to the manageress. and yes i got a refund.

I used to go swimming every week with my now departed much loved sis in law. She told me she had a brand new bra and pants with her one particular week, and as usual we left clothes and towels in the lockers and off we went for our swim. When we got back and went to get changed, she yelled from the next cubicle that she could not find her new bra and knickers, and after much searching by us both, they never came to light. She assumed she had left them at home,and we went for our customary cup of tea with her going commando and bra less( her bust was quite small thankfully). However,the darned things never came to light- they weren't at home, in the car etc. The locker at the pool didn't appear to have been tampered with, and she did ring up the pool staff and report them as lost( much to the amusement of the lady on reception, sis in law had been too embarrassed to report it in person).Every now and then when we went swimming, we mused on what could have happened. Writing this, I realise again how much I miss her and the many laughs we had, bless her heart!
