Lovely supportive comments for Meghan on Facebook, with many Mums recalling how they had also held their babies in much the same way , as I suspect we all have at sometime.
A photograph can catch but a moment in time, so I suppose if someone hangs around with a camera for long enough they will get what ever it is that they are looking for.

Must admit that I am not really interested! She should be allowed to get on with it without the paps around all the time, but that won't happen due to who she married. I am still not sure about her or her motives, call me cynical!

I would have thought it was the ideal opportunity to put Archie in a baby sling, and they seem to be the trend in LA. Even the dads, such as Daniel Craig, have been photographed wearing one (with baby in, of course ).

A sling wouldn't have spoilt the look of her outfit.

It's part of living and working in the country, Annie. Our children were brought up around horse shows, country fairs, agricultural shows etc. Meghan might be a townee but hopefully her little boy will be able to enjoy some outdoor activities.

She was out of her comfort zone, maybe but haven't we all been now and again?

merlot I live in the country , went to the usual Point to Point, county shows,etc, always with a buggy when my daughters were babies. Wouldn’t even carry a two month old on a tow path.

Let’s just say it’s like being shown the last few minutes of a film, & then forming an opinion about the whole film based on the last shot.

Carrying them (usually in a sling) is easier than pushing a buggy, Annie. The buggy was used for carting the picnic stuff.

Being fair, I think she walked from the car to see the family
then walked backed to the safety of the car. She didn’t join the picnic.

Oh! What would have been good - if Meghan had handed the baby to Kate to hold while she sat down, and then Kate handed him back once she was settled! That would have been a photographer's dream!!!
