Was she in the royal box ?

I thought she looked smart as well and didn't know jeans were frowned upon. It's an outdated attitude because I think/hope we've moved on from looking down our noses at what was considered shabby, working class attire.

Good jeans these days cost a fortune. I bet Meghan's weren't under £20 from Bon Marché ( where I often get mine!)

I suppose there has to be a dress code for the royal box on centre court or folk might let it all hang out

No, Annie, she wasn't but I think officials flew into a tizz because they were worried she'd watch Serena's match then want to move on to the royal box and they'd have to turn her away.

No Jeans is the rule. Hardly difficult. I'm not a fan of jeans because I don't find them remotely comfortable. But seeing as she wasn't in the Royal Box it matters not. How she managed to get 40 people who had VIP tickets to stay out is another story though. I'm a regular at the tournament and have never seen that before. Especially not with a Serena game.

I just checked, Court 1, but as Serena was playing how come so many empty seats where Megan was sitting.

Apparently they had to form a queue to go in once they were allowed, Baggs. Not sure how much of that is true though.
