I have a friend who is in her late eighties, her two grandchildren are both at Primary school.

43 for me. I have GGC at 13 years of age. I wanted my children when I was in my early 20's to get motherhood over and done with then work the rest of my life.
GC are all adults in their 30's and mid 20,the youngest.

I was 55 - it felt too young to me, I was the first of all my friends to become a gran. Am now 60 and most of my friends of the same age still do not have GC (I love mine to bits of course).

I was 55. It felt quite young, but maybe that's because I'd only had my last baby when I was 42 so was still in the throes of child rearing myself. My youngest has been an auntie since she was 13 and revels in having cute nieces and nephews!

We have new neighbours who are about 50. All their kids are adults and they have three grandchildren almost as old as ours.

I was 58 when the first was born and 67 when the last one arrived.
