Oh my word...haven't you lot been extra specially busy. If I haven't already welcomed venall I would like to do so. I would rather wecome you twice than not al all. That goes for all our Granspals in the kitchen.

The wedding photos are fabulous. Lovely, happy smiling couples about to embark on a shared life. I shall try to take a photo of our wedding day photo. It too is on the small size. We only wanted informal photos taken by family and friends.

Feelingmyage I feel so sorry for you. Sleep is vital for our sense of well being. If there is anything that you care to share, (relating to your worries) then we will try to help in whatever way we can.

Funny old day for us here in SE Essex, our eldest and his wife leave for Kenya tomorrow, a two year posting. ??

We have 2 of our GSs here for the weekend also, so it will be a BBQ later, much laughter and no doubt a lot of tears. After him being in the Forces for 30 years we should be used to saying goodbye, but I think it gets harder.

Still hopefully we shall go and visit when they are settled, their daughter is staying in mainland Europe for college.

Love the wedding photos ? We only met 5 weeks before we were married and we’re both engaged to other people. Mr Issimo proposed after a week.....and 43 years later we are still going strong.

GG it was! My Mum and Dad knew very quickly and married in months and both my DDs have. I think if you have no doubts, they fit in with your family instantly and they make you happy, there’s no point doing all that saving up for an insanely expensive day. We have always believed in marriage rather than weddings ?

Because we didn’t have a big wedding we were able to afford a house very quickly. Our fathers were really happy and both gave us what they would spent on a church wedding with all the trimmings to help with the deposit.

I’ve been blessed.

I have loved seeing these wedding photographs. Like urmstongran I too was just 20. DD was quite shocked that I married so young, but it was nothing unusual in those days. And here we are 47 years later!

It has been a beautiful day. This weekend the village is having an open garden day to help raise funds for the village hall project. So many people put in a huge amount of effort and thankfully the weather has been kind thus far.

I am watching tennis from Queens. Not long before Andy and Feliciano return to finish the match that was cut short yesterday due to poor light. Go, Andy. Go, Feliciano. So far, so good.

These wedding photos are great and a real piece of social history aren't they. Not for us all those off the shoulder dresses that todays brides favour! I’m away from home visiting family in the south so can’t add one of my own at the moment. Like many here we married so young, he was 23 and I was not quite 19!

Glad to hear that you has a good wee trip away, soop. We visited those gardens at Inverewe years ago and really enjoyed them, even on a drizzly day they were stunning.

We had only known each other for six months. He was 23 and I was 20. He was being posted to one far flung corner of the empire and I to another and we would be a long time apart. So he proposed. Fifty three years next month. No regrets. Well, there have been one or three leg of lamb moments.....?

May I join you please? I can bake cakes. And drink Prosecco. Or wine.

I was 21, almost 22, he was 35 (yes really). 53 years next September and still so very happy together.

Somebody can probably explain it better than myself but a frozen leg of lamb moment means that the OH is lucky to be still alive and not be hit with a frozen leg of lamb for saying or doing something very wrong.

There is a frozen leg of lamb available to all visitors to the kitchen. It can be used to administer a stiff clip round the ear to anyone who needs it - usually a DH!

Hello jessity. Welcome to the kitchen. We have lots of lovely kitcheners nowadays. Our lovely leading lady is soop who you will meet in due course. Because we have so many posters, we can’t reply to everyone all the time. So we use the TOYA acronym to let those we haven’t mentioned know we are thinking of them. Hope you enjoy the kitchen.

In the event of a fatal blow from said frozen leg of lamb, you can cook and eat the murder weapon and therefore the evidence?. I’m fairly certain it has never yet been used, but it has been summoned up a good few times!

Tara has come to tell me it is bedtime and why am I still attached to this machine?

She came home I assume after 7pm tonight and shock horror her mum was not at home- she had nipped out for fish and chips having cooked every evening. I did receive a rapturous welcome when I returned. She stayed until I was sitting comfortably, eating my supper so she retired to bed.
