How do you put yours on?

I hope you all realise these images are now burnt on my mind.
Every morning now I will have a picture of hundreds of "ageing women* hoicking, twisting, twizzling their bosoms into their bras before adjusting said bosoms to present to the public.

Glad it's not just me. The woman was quite appalled at the way I do it because it 'ruins' the bra if you don't put it on 'properly' which is arms first. But not only does this make it very hard for me to do up the back, it also means too much hoiking and rearranging and seems much less efficient so I will carry on as I am!

Yep, sling it round your middle, twizzle round then scoop up anything in it's way....a bit like a trawl net!

I can’t do it up at the back either although my daughter can and tells me off. Do up at the front, twist around and pull straps up onto shoulders, then lift boobs into cups comfortably and final pull at the sides to make sure all is ok. I know fitters day do up at the back but I’ve never been able to manage it.

Have none of you got front fastening bras?

I have never been able to do a bra up at the back, even when I was young. I've always done it at the front and turned it.
DD was told by a bra fitter to put arms in lean forward slightly, so your baps are dangling and pull the cups around them, stand straight and fasten the back

That's how I do it buffy and for the same reason.

Slip arms through straps and fasten at the back, whilst leaning slightly forward. Stand up and make any adjustments as necessary.
I was taught this by a Bra Fitter many years ago.

I do up the fasteners around the front and twist it around and carefully tip myself into it.

I have had repaired shoulder tendons. I am certainly not doing any contortions.

Yep - fasten and front and swizzle it round - I've never been able to fasten it at the back but likewise I'm perfectly able to take it off the right way. More difficult than bra fastening are the hooks and eyes on a body gusset - no matter how easy they've been when I've got dressed on a morning add in clothes and flapping hair not to mention a coat if I'm out it can take an age and invariably one or more are missed resulting in mis-alignment

I have always fastened at the front twizzked it around (love that word! ) arms in, lean forward and adjust boobs into cups despite being quite agile with no particular physical problems! Gabriella strangely I too loosen at the back with both hands and oh what relief!!

Back to front then swizzle it round and slip arms in but I undo it by reaching back with hands.

Ye gods! Have we really deteriorated as a thinking society that there has to be a right way and a wrong way to put on a bra!!

It's almost as foolish as the ("disgusted and outraged") woman who would not take her medications from Boots because they were in a plastic bag.

Arms in then fasten at the back. Except when my PMR is playing up, then I can't do it up at all without assistance.

I find it almost impossible to fasten a bra at the back. No sooner is one hook in than the other pops out. I've done the front fastening, twizzle round and hoik up for years. I thought everyone did it that way ?

Then as a very helpful bra fitter once told me "Hoick them up, they can't jump in them cups by themselves"

Only one way ...... do it up at the front and manoeuvre (as necessary for my great bulk) round to the back (and my daughter is a bra fitter so I dare not tell her). I also don’t let her know I buy supermarket bras and hope for the best rather than be fitted properly. Oh Dear!

Gobsmacked! I never knew there was any other way of putting on a bra than putting the straps over your shoulders and fastening it at the back.

“Twizzke” sounds more adroit, but it’s often more like heave!
