I'm a secret lemonade drinker R Whites R Whites. I loved that one where he was dancing by the open fridge door and his wife cops him. They don't make them like they used to and yes, I remember that mascara too. A bit of spit on the brush and you were well away.

Remember the mascara well. Used to use saliva for the moisture. Horror of horror nowadays. Anyone remember the hard toothpaste in a round tin. Used to have to scrub the stuff with your tooth brush to get any on.

Singlegrannie, yes - I had forgotten Miner's 'Way out pink' - I wore that too. The 'Richard Shops' jingle is driving me crazy right now - 'wish I hadn't thought of it this morning. I also remember 'tasty, tasty' etc. but not what the product was - so that wasn't very good advertising! I do agree that it's a wonder we didn't all go blind, or suffer with non stop conjunctivitis thanks to spitting on the brush or the mascara block. Like many other things that would be frowned upon now, we somehow survived without damage.

Does anyone else remember Harry Worth, standing on the corner of a glass window, and lifting an arm and leg in the air? My sister and I used to do lots when out shopping with mum. Not sure if it was for an advert or not though.

Harry Worth takes me back, he never gets a mention these days. He always came across as a bumbling old duffer but that was his act. Can't say I found him very funny though.

All I can remember is a rose appearing from his thumb!

Does anyone remember Gordon Moores toothpaste? It was deep red. It stained your gums so apparently made your teeth whiter. I’m desperately trying to recall other things from the past now !

Not only useless jingles I remember. I am now 77 and I remember the Reg No of my Dad's first car, also remember the telephone number we had when I was growing up. I will never need this info again but retain it, other things I do need or would like to remember I can't
