Panache I hope that tomorrow goes well for you and DH.

*soop you also have a long journey tomorrow but the thought of the gorgeous fish and chips would perk me up. At least you will be resting!

corner the hired help knows its place- seriously one would not think she is 14 years+.

Baggs so sorry flowers Life is very difficult at present for you.
TOYA

callgirl1 Tue 30-Apr-19 21:38:31

Your Tara is a beautiful lady Charley, carries her age well. Wish I could say the same!
Baggs, so sorry to hear your sad news, take care.
SOOP!! Now will you listen to all the good folk on here and REST! We need you hale and hearty, but that takes time after all that you`ve been through. I`ll bet MacS is hovering over you to make sure you behave now, so DO! Best wishes for tomorrow, and enjoy the fish and chips.
Panache, all the best to you and your husband for tomorrow.
Kitty, bugger the worktops, get back to bed till you`re really better, do you hear?
I`ve been an idle so and so today. Was going to iron this morning, didn`t, and didn`t get dressed until early afternoon. All I`ve done all day is put a load in the washing machine. I have managed to bugger up the stair lift. I threw the washing downstairs as I usually do, seeing as there was too much to carry, then came back down on the stair lift, but it stopped just before the bottom because silly/stupid me didn`t realise that one item of laundry had caught on the bottom of the rail, now it will go neither up nor down. Engineer can`t come until tomorrow, so I`ll have to try and sleep on the settee, and can`t change my clothes until he`s been, I`ll be feeling really mucky by then.

baggsso sorry for your loss. Mums are so special. I hope minibaggs is ok. Thinking of you flowers

soop you are on trust now to rest. The wrath of the kitcheners awaits you if you don’t. Somehow, knowing McSporran as we do, we know he will take good care of you.
panache and MrP good luck for tomorrow’s scan. Safe journey.
Anneliese that sounds like a positive visit from the nurse. Glad your DH can be seen at home.
dragonfly if you have to see a doctor, might as well be a dishy one ?
Keep safe everyone. The gremlins are out and about on GN tonight. Stay safe in the kitchen TOYA x

Wishing you both a safe journey tomorrow ......not forgetting the fish and chips treat of course!

Anything that keeps you from too many Hospital Appointments will be a good thing Anneliese and having home visits will be much more relaxing for you both.Quality of life now is the key object.

However expected such a loss may be, it is a massive wrench to lose one’s mother at any age.

soop, safe journey to you both but, more importantly, enjoy your fish and chips.

panache, I hope your day in bearable. Please ket us know the outcome. brew

n&g, has your dh had his back 'looked at'. It seems to have been going on a long time.

callgirl, I hope your night hasn't been too bad and that the engineer comes early.

Seeing a doctor/nurse at home is a real help anneliese from lots of points of view.

Can we all come to your next appointment, dragonfly? There arent enough dishy doctors about.

I felt loads better yesterday afternoon but had an appalling night and feel like a piece of chewed string this morning.

So, TOYA, but I'm off back to bed for a while.

Pittcity Wed 01-May-19 07:35:14

So sorry Baggs thanks.
Callgirl what a nuisance for you - I do that kind of thing!
Good luck to everyone going to an appointment today and I hope you get positive news.

Nannytopsy Wed 01-May-19 08:13:25

Pressed the wrong button! Kitty, I am glad you have shown some improvement but now it needs more work! Poor nights take their toll.
I am trying my hand at macarons today - pink with raspberry filling - so there will be a plate on the table in time for elevenses.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 01-May-19 08:17:07

Baggs sending you love and virtual hugs, my sincere condolences ??

aggie Wed 01-May-19 08:32:20

Baggs So sorry to hear of you sad news xxx

annodomini Wed 01-May-19 08:48:45

Talking of dishy doctors, I'm going to see my dishy dentist to get a little crown fitted. That is, if his wife doesn't go into labour this morning - she was due on Monday. He will make a lovely dad.
Soop, I hope you will be reassured that a zolendronic acid infusion is nothing to fear. I have had several and they only ever took half an hour and the catheter left no bruising at all. Enjoy your fish 'n' chips. x

Kalu Wed 01-May-19 10:14:21

So sorry to hear about your Mum Baggs
Sending you comforting vibes ?

eilyann Wed 01-May-19 10:33:37

I am back from sunnier climes and so sorry to hear all the problems you are all facing. Especially those who have lost a dear one or are coping with their own or dear one's serious problems. I can't do anything but my thoughts and prayers are with you all.flowers

On lighter note I brought back some rather yummy biscuits, chocs and some bubbly stuff which I have left on the side. Avail yourselves!

Anneliese63 Wed 01-May-19 12:22:54

There’s been a lot of sadness and worry in the kitchen recently, and very little in the way of goodies, so thank you eilyann! We were told yesterday to make sure DH doesn’t lose weight, as this would increase the muscle weakness. I can see I’m going to be doing a lot of baking! And Soop’s fish and chips would be good too! Not good for MY waistline though!

gransal Wed 01-May-19 12:35:17

Sending warm thoughts to all with buggerations and sincere sympathy to baggs. Feeling very relaxed sitting on the balcony of apartment in Tenerife . Just going out for a wander then a spot of lunch. Nothing to do and all day to do it in. Sheer bliss,

Charleygirl5 Wed 01-May-19 13:28:49

Tara sends a big thank you to those of you who thought she looked a pretty young girl. She is aware because she is told frequently and although her mother does not know a lot, she is dead right on that.

She does groom herself and does not need or require any help. Sleep is a great healer she finds so 23 hours a day is fairly reasonable.

When her stupid technophobe mother works out how to do it, she will show more because her face is very attractive.
