Doctor surgery don't do it anymore and shop wants £65! Anyone else had it done and were the results good?

I see Specsavers are offering this service. Dh has not used them yet but worth considering. He last went to a private “shop”in town and paid about £65. He was happy with the results.

I had mine done at our local chemist. They do class themselves as a "Community Pharmacy" and offer a huge range of services. All their certificates of competence are on the wall in the treatment rooms.

£40 per ear, excellent service, he was thorough and took his time. It's worth searching out the smaller chemists for these minor health treatments.

I have to have it done at least three times a year, I pay a monthly scheme, it’s about £8/9.

Sorry, that’s at an opticians, not Specsavers.

I had mine cleared at a private clinic last year. It cost me £80 but they were severely impacted and it took three visits to finally clear the right one of the last stubborn bit of wax. It was £80 well spent.
