Do a bit of a recce hoping I can get some of the reaming beers on the Wetherspoons beer list festival wise.

Then this afternoon watch cycling on TV.

Good morning everyone. Happy birthday Dora! wineflowers Best wishes Cheryl!flowerswine

My cold was at it's worst last night (I hope) - Fitbit tells me I've had 4 hours 29 minutes sleep, but it feels like even less. So no archery, the plan today is to empty barrel pond with two goldfish in, clean it out and put in fresh water. It's looking very green and slimy after the winter. Hope my energy holds up for long enough. Good luck with the clues Mick.

Good morning Mick and All.

A big welcome Cheryl I don’t think I have seen you here before. You will find we are a friendly, caring bunch on this thread. So pleased about your news.

Happy birthday ? Dora enjoy the sunshine on your hols.

Gilly do try homemade hot lemon, honey, ginger plus a couple of paracetamol for your poor throat.

Gearing up food wise for the arrival next week of our DGSs for a 6 day stay ?

Morning Michael, Annie to come, and all. CherylMoon, what great news about your final treatment.
Well done.
It is sunny here, but slightly chilly. I bought 6 x fritilleria plants yesterday, so they will be planted out later. They were from Waitrose, and reduced right down in price, so couldn't resist them.
I had an appointment with a Macmillan nurse yesterday, just a chat really, and she took time with me, which was so nice. I will have to have a mammogram later on, but am at the tail end of my treatment now.
DH is just starting on his treatment road.
Have a good day, and to all those feeling poorly flowers

Good morning all from a very white Aberdeenshire. No, not snow but a thick sea haar has rolled in from the estuary. The leaflets trees look very eerie in the mist.
The mutt is still sulking after yesterday's bath...I'll take him for a run in the woods to cheer him up. Haircut this afternoon (for me!) and ceramics class this evening.
Marydoll, enjoy those pies...how far doon the watter will you go? My co grannie lives in Troon, which is a bonny wee town. Cheryl, sending you champagne!. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning from a grey but dry NE. I managed a full night's sleep and feel better for it.
DH has hospital appointment at evening rush hour which will be inconvenient but needs must.
GD1 abroad with the school and youngest having adventures with her Daddy leaving us child-free until Sunday.
Hope your throat eases gilly.

oldgaijin, we used to live in Troon!
We are off to Saltcoats, reliving our childhood holidays (at least it's not raining) and going to stock up in the old fashioned baker's.

annodomini Wed 10-Apr-19 10:06:10

Marydoll, I was born and brought up in Ardrossan, which is Saltcoats's 'twin'. We used to swim at the Saltcoats outdoor pool as soon as the water temperature reached 56F. Most of my friends were in Saltcoats.

Dull & cool in Leeds and we have come to Doncaster Dome with two of our grandchildren for them to skate then swim with hopefully a decent lunch in the middle.
Nice bar to have a coffee in so we are happy with our kindles.
