Wish they'd bring them back

OH yes spangles, old Jamaica rum bars, and the Fry's bars. Loved them.
Aldo Mint cracknel bars, Yorkshire Mixtures, sarsparilla drops, kop-kops, those bags of rainbow coloured rice-crispies, and bar 6. Oh and fruit salads and black jacks.

Can anybody remember a chocolate bar with pieces of ovaltine in it ? OMG it was so delicious .

I remember Horlick tablets. Used to buy them in a little tube from Boots.

No, I couldn't stand Parma Violets. Loved the idea and the look of them though.

I think it was possible to buy Horlicks tablets without coupons, because they were classed as medicinal. They are the first sweet I remember. Sweet rationing finished when I was about fourteen, and off I went to Mr Mattingley’s to buy as many liquorice comfits as I could afford.

Oh right! I often wondered why I had to get my Horlick tablets from a chemist shop!

Mcgowans egg n milk chews I think they were called (used to be on 1p tray , almost pulled your teeth out, and drumstick lollies which you can still buy.
Across the road at Oswaldtwistle Mills we have a "Stockleys sweet shop" they sell some of the old sweets and American cream soda kayli (is that how you spell kayli ? hmm..

Oo I loved kayli (don't know if that's how you spell it). You can still get it. There is an old fashioned sweet shop in Birmingham city centre and a couple of years ago DH and I bought some kayli. They give it to you in a triangular bag. The girl said 'would you like a liquorice stick to dab into to it?' We said yes please and we sat on a wall with our kayli and liquorice, much to the amusement of passers by.

Katyk. Oh I loved Royal Scot biscuits. My mum used to do a thing where she sandwiched two together with icing and then put icing and hundreds and thousands on top. Yum

My paternal grandma used to buy Horlicks tablets for my older cousin who was diabetic (not sure if she should’ve had them) but I was soooo jealous .
Ovaltine chocolate was deeeelissh Gonegirl I suppose it’s a good job its not still around or I would be a Tellytubby .

Does anyone remember a packet pudding from 1960s -70s that divided when setting into jelly at the bottom and a mousse at the top. What was it called and how can you make it!?

Who remembers Tiffin? I loved the mixture of little biscuit bits and raisins. Also Fry's five boys choc bar....I still remember the wrapper with five boy's heads on it.

Oh yes I loved Cremola Foam, completely forgot about that one. It was a rare treat in our house though.
