Soop, just to let you know I got the thorn out yesterday, thanks to a pair of very fine tweezers and magnesium sulphate, which drew it to the surface.
DH had a similar problem years ago with at thorn under his nail. I had to take him to A&E, when I noticed the red line on his hand.
Just wanted to say, welcome to Gransal, they are lovely folks in here.

Hello gransal, many congratulations to you all.
Saw GP about ‘the arm’, still painful but she says get on with life while I wait (and wait) for NHS x-ray and physio assessment, which should apparently be instant but for some reason isn’t. Who am I to argue with the GP? So am taking her at her word and joining in the slow preparation for decorating next week. Allowing three days for the sorting and moving. Three? 
. I may disappear under a heap of ‘stuff’, how does so much fit into a small space?
Being sensible, honestly, but won’t be in much so take care everyone and look after yourselves. Will hide some of that chocolate cake for later, many thanks marydoll, I’m sure it will be restorative.

Susan Did you mention the free bed in the annexe? Matron knows a thing or two about rehabilitating husbands who have difficulty being sensible. She's a tough cookie. Her list of rules is eyewatering long and severe. Best that your dear husband listens to your advice. It's for his own good.
Well, we were having a good day. DH has been really tired recently, undoubtedly the stress and anxiety of having innumerable neurological tests but still no diagnosis. But he slept well and felt better. We did some shopping, then he did a bit of gardening. We had a bite to eat before we were going to sit in the sun, and I broke a tooth! Serves me right really - I was tempted by a pack of mini malt loaves. Should have left them in the Kitchen!
I’ve made an appt with the dentist, and I’m really thinking that I will have an implant. The alternative (apart from just having it extracted) is to have a root filling and crown and I’ve already been told this has only a very small chance of being successful.
This is only a minor thing compared with all the problems that my friends in the Kitchen are having, so I’m thinking of you and hoping that you are enjoying the lovely spring sunshine. Sorry not to mention you all - I still can’t remember everyone!

Corner, decorating! Something we shall have to think about later this year. All needs freshening up. Like you the thought of moving the furniture around makes my heart sink! Look after that arm!
N&G I saw that film too yesterday. Big screen Cornish scenery, singing, and a love story - what’s not to like! Highly recommend it. After that I went in search of a bit of “culchah” at the art gallery. And cake!
Gq I loved your gambolling lambs! I went out into the garden this morning to take a few photos of insects and here are the ones that stood reasonably still for me! GS thinks the black and red one looks like an aliens face with red eyes!! There are a lot of honey bees around at the moment which is very gratifying to see. Hardly saw any last year; just bumbles. Unfortunately, they didn’t stand still for me.
I will try and look in later. I will try and catch up, I promise.
