I’m so sorry to hear of yet another setback ann. You have had so, so much to contend with. It is just never ending for you?

ann I know exactly (almost) how you are feeling. I had this a number of times with my mum. She was very agitated and kept insisting she needed the toilet. I sat with her one night until 12 o’clock when they finally found her a bed.

kitty there was nothing in the LRI to indicate my mum had dementia. They soon found out when she kept ripping her cannula out!

ann this will have done nothing for your low mood. I really hope social services can sort out a suitable place for him very soon so that you can feel a little more settled.

I too have been feeling very down this weekend but I am pleased to say that my normal positive self is creeping back. Was it a full moon I wonder.

Ann, so sorry to read about your husband`s latest problems. I wish I could help, but please look after yourself as well, or you`ll be the next one who`s ill.
Lovely baby and child photos to look at today. I can`t believe how Flynn is growing up.
I went to London after all, in trepidation at leaving Lynne when she wasn`t well, although I had arranged for an extra care visit each day. Trouble was, the first day the extra care worker didn`t turn up! Luckily my youngest son turned up at 3 pm and got her a drink. I went on Friday morning and got back on Saturday afternoon.
Soop, you look wonderful in those photos, as does MacS but please don`t over exert yourself, slowly and surely does it.
Once again, I`m sorry for not mentioning everyone, I just can`t remember it all these days.

Ann so sorry, especially when you are not feeling 100% yourself. I am inclined to agree with Swanny- you have to look after yourself so maybe you will not need to visit daily once the antibiotics have kicked in and he settles down a bit.

Cheese scones on the side. Off to snuggle on the sofa with a cuppa then I shall face the week. ? on the kitchen windowsill.

Dear Ann, so many of us lot have already said what I too am thinking. This is intolerable for both you and your husband. Yet, somehow, his condition has to be closely monitored and treatment with the best antibiotics the hospital can provide. I do feel so very sad for you. If it helps, please keep us updated.

Feelingmyage So kind of you to treat us lot to cheese scones. We shall all tuck in and then have a siesta...

Such a plethora of happy little ones,the joy on their small faces lighten up these pages for sure.......... at least we can rest assured that the future generation will be a happy bunch!!!

Another superb sunny day and my hands are fairly itching to be out there, deep in the soil!
Needing to call at the Garden Centre and dreading it at the same time.......the tantalising of those beautifully laid out plants fairly make me drool!

Seems gardening might win in your home Corner and it seems Galen you too are another would be gardener forced to enjoy through the windows!

You are truly having a very rough time dear Ann still, both physically as well as emotionally and indeed each day seems to bring nothing but yet a new problem.
It would seem your H has succumbed to yet another UTI therefore even more extremely agitated.Feeling so much for you but have no real help to offer though I do advise listening carefully to our Kitty when she advises about Altzeimers.We are very fortunate having her here directing us when we have a specific need on that subject.
Whilst I will only reiterate what countless kitchen members have said and that is about taking optimum care of your own self.It matters greatly because if your health deteriorates then there will be even bigger issues to deal with.
Please make a point of eating well even though it may be small portions.

Sorry to hear you have been having a few low moments Dragonfly ........life is like that on times and hopefully you will well and truly rise above and start seeing the uplifts all around.

What a valid question and I think it may have been Swanny who said......"Who cares for the carer?" That indeed is such a big question and one seemingly overlooked far too often.

You are very blessed with your family. Hope you are taking things slowly and steadily - sounds as though you're at the helm of a ship!
I am going to tackle this month's Book Club read, "Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine". DH has gone to Sainsbury's with a shopping list, though he always goes off piste. ? We shall see what materialises. There may be a decent offering for the kitchen later, I have a craving for toasted teacakes with plenty of butter.

Hope you are all enjoying as beautiful a day as we are. We are about to go for a turn about the garden after our post lunch coffee so just catching up with all on here. ((((Hugs)))) to all who need them especially Maw just the now. X

Not a hope of catching up now, except to say the photos of you and MacS were lovely, Soop; what a handsome couple! And ditto all the gorgeous babies and smiling toddlers, all growing like weeds!! Good to see! I keep a pair of jimjams here for GS and was shocked to see that the hems are now way above his ankles and wrists since last he wore them, which isn’t all that long! I had better source a new pair before the next growth spurt!
Ann I hope that there has been some improvement in your DH, and that he is calmer. As others have said, have a thought for yourself too?.
I have been gardening this afternoon as it is quite warm. Leaving the bulk of it for tomorrow though. We are off to do the school run shortly. I will look in when I get back to see if there is anything other than crumbs to partake of!

Nurse came today to do ECG and blood test. The ECG is abnormal again necessitating and emergency visit to the hospital tomorrow. Will it never end?

soop the next time I blink Mila will be at school. That little girl is shooting up and she has a lovely smile.

ann I hope that H is not so agitated today- the IV antibiotics will be working and I assume he has been catheterised. Please try to get some rest yourself.

I was feeling down in the mouth after a session with the dentist this morning which left me with a headache. My DD sent me a lovely smile from my GD, Mim, to cheer me up. It worked so well I thought I’d share it with all of you who need a lift.

Mim will be one year old on Friday and she still has no teeth! We’re trying not to be concerned and Dr says sometimes they don’t through until they are about 18 months!

I’ve left a few cream teas on the side for those who could really use a treat.....and some garibaldi biscuits for the gannets!

Having looked at that picture more closely I should clarify that there’s nothing amiss with her legs....her socks have minds of their own! ?

Mamissimo my grandson was 1 last Saturday and has no teeth yet.

Mamissimo my DGD had no teeth until she was 15 months then five came in the space of a week!Every other text from my daughter said she has another tooth!
