very well done grannyactivist, what a great achievement. But, so angry too that the system, the deliberate policy of denial of help to people should be as it is. The percentage of succesful appeals indicates that the whole system of assessment is wrong. Even if one looks at it from a financial point, it doesn't work, let alone the emotional damage and stress it causes people. Disgusting system and we are so proud of your for beating it. Very well done. We need more people like you.

You've made a huge difference to someone's quality of life, but just as importantly you've shown that the system is terribly, terribly flawed, and that can only bring good, in it's own way.

Brilliant job well done! I must say that I applied for PIP for my adult daughter and felt I needed a degree just to fill in the form. Lucky for us they agreed to a home visit which was was arranged for the morning when I knew she would be at her worse. and we didn't have to appeal, thank goodness. The system is a disgrace, causing worrying and stress to the most vulnerable.

Aw - thank you so much for celebrating with me and taking the time to make such kindly comments. I’ve had a lovely day with my foster son. He’s now a successful businessman and I am very fortunate that he continues to be such a big part of our family. He spent most of this evening cuddling my son’s baby and reminiscing with his ‘brother’ about their shared teen years. Wonderful.

What a great job you've done grannyactivist. What a lot of work you must have put in.

I have a bit of an insight into how difficult the process is and the paperwork involved. My sister-in- law has just gone through the change to PIP. There was soooo much paperwork.

Thankfully she had lots of admin experience from local government and was able to get her head round the forms but I know it wasn't easy for her and she had help from a support group.

I think you may find yourself in high demand :-) Goodness knows there are a lot of people struggling with the system.

And what a lovely bonus to have your foster son visiting and the good news got better hearing about your friends new job.

So nice to have happy events in life to post about and they are so lovely to read. Thank you for sharing your good news.

GA, what a wonderful achievement. Your appellant must be very relieved tonight. And you have every reason to celebrate, Brilliant!

Go grannyactivist - loads of admiration for you taking on these bullying benefit stoppers and thrilled that your client will now get his entitlement and his backdated PIP - hope his financial situation, stress levels and any other area of his life the appalling refusal affected will now be considerably improved. Nice to know people like you can give support to those of us least able to fight for our rights - thank you.

Congratulations and very well done grannyactivist - perhaps that tribunal will see that wrong decisions have been and are being made and even more good could come of your efforts.
