Today I represented a client at a PIP Tribunal, and in spite of the DWP sending in their big gun to oppose the appeal, WE WON!! It's the first time I have ever represented a client entirely by myself, having done all the paperwork etc. and it's actually quite scary, but it was sooo worth it. My client didn't even understand we'd won initially as the phraseology is about 'allowing' the appeal.
I've hardly slept for two nights as the weight of responsibility in this situation is huge, but I'm now euphoric. My client will have his PIP backdated and be able to get out of the terrible financial situation the initial refusal created.
Then, just to put the icing on the cake one of my foster sons has come home on a flying visit (he lives in Taiwan) for a couple of days. We dined out this evening and a dear friend was in the same restaurant celebrating the news that he's just got a new job.
So, a rare 'good news' day for me and my happy client. Are you celebrating? Do share.
