Good morning all x

Windy, grey and wet in SE Essex.

Off to Lakeside (shopping centre) this morning, lady minute pregnant-holiday “panic” shop.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Wet, windy and cold in South Yorkshire and we have slept in! We are going shopping for new waterproof trousers today (nothing to do with age related incontinence!!). If it carries on like this we will need them! Have a good day folks.

Good morning, cool and damp here in the NE after a night of gales. I slept well with ear plugs in.
Collecting GD from school and feeding her while parents are seeing teachers at eldest GD's school.
Dental check was fine, seen bang on appointment time.

Funny isn’t it Nelliemoser how sometimes in life, the small victories really cheer us up? ✅ A lovely feeling!

Good morning All x
I don't think there were gales last night here on the banks of the Mersey, well at least I didn't hear any. Calmish but wet and miserable.
I'm sitting here with my feet in soak in my foot-bowl and it's heaven. Having a shower doesn't soak the feet but I do this every few days to compensate.

A nice quick chicken stir-fry for today----recipe off the internet includes orange, lovely !

Take care everyone if it's windy out but enjoy your day.

Good morning all, wet and cold in Lancashire. I was wondering what to make for tea, I have some blood oranges so will copy you Ellan, thanks.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all GNs. Love hearing your daily weather and activity reports, but don't often join in. Another wet and windy day here in Coventry, hope it drops off later as I want to take a couple of bags of clothes and puzzles to the charity shop and visit the library.
EllanVannin, just to say that I use a flatish lid, eg jamjar lid placed lip down over the shower plug hole for soaking my feet in the shower. Of course that wouldn't work if you have a walk in shower I suppose and not as relaxing as sitting with feet in a bowl smile

EllanVannin Tue 12-Mar-19 09:54:17

It's a walk-in shower Shandi, unfortunately.

Good morning all,
It was very gusty through the night which kept waking me up. It's now very wet, breezy (but not too strong yet), and cold. A very miserable sort of day. Matches my mood really, but I'll snap out of it.
Glad to hear you' ve got your old user name back, Nellie.
Hope you all have a nice day.

Hello nellie!!!

Good morning all, horribly wet in Staffordshire Moorlands. No sign of the Roaches from my house today, it’s so murky. Hope you all have a good day. smilesmile

Greyduster Tue 12-Mar-19 10:44:47

I’ll second that - we’ve missed nelliemoser! Couldn’t get my head round the new one!

NanKate Tue 12-Mar-19 10:57:35

Three cheers for Nellie ?

Good morning from east London grey and windy here at the moment with rain promised. The magnolia in the front garden is coming into flower, just hope we don't lose it all in the wind. Always surprise myself how much time I can put away without doing anything in particular (awake since 6.30) so suppose I'd better get started. School pick up later. Have a good day.

Morning all. Hope all is well. What a night! Luckily the fence panels etc, seem to still be in place though next doors children's furniture has been blown about all over their garden.
Wet, windy and 'orrible. Never mind, I expect we'll be complaining about the heat come August!

Lost my first post, so good morning Michael, Annie and all, from a wet windy and grey Berks. Made some Mamade marmalade this morning, and prepared a meal for tonight. DS2 is coming to stay overnight. It will be lovely to have him to ourselves for once. Was sick yesterday, so had to cancel the dentist, which was difficult as their phone lines were out of order. Good job the email worked! DH is going later, so hope he can make me another appointment.
He goes for the results of his scan tomorrow, hoping for the best.
I have made some Mamade marmalade, and prepared the meal for tonight, then I ‘m off volunteering, so must make a sandwich to take with me for lunch.
Keep safe in the bad weather one and all, and enjoy the day.

Windy on the River Lark. Boat was secured this morning when I left for work. Hope I don't get home to find the bow out in the middle of the river. Not looking forward to the promised 50 to 60 mph wind tonight. Stay safe...

Mapleleaf Tue 12-Mar-19 18:56:35

Do you live on a boat, Theoddbird?
Yes, those winds are going to become very strong according to the forecast, so make sure your boat is well secured.
