Going Naked (or nearly)

I prefer to keep myself to myself these days - just feels more comfortable...

I used to be ok with family seeing me in undies/swimwear until about ten years ago. Now with too much weight and saggy wobbly bits I certainly wouldn't. I've also now got seborrheic keratosis patches which look disgusting so the doctor is the only person looking at my body from now on.

I see my naked form in the bathroom mirror and wonder what happened to that slim young slip of a gal I used to be. It's been replaced by a tubbyguts so I wouldn't go in for showing my bits and pieces unless I had to show a doctor! Swimsuits were given away to charity years ago.
I'm no longer officially overweight but the shape, well it's not very shapely. Better kept hidden. OTOH this is what a real body looks like.

Least seen soonest mended (or something to that effect)!

Just debating what to wear at the pool on holiday. I have some lovely tankinis but it’s my legs that look so bad. Bruised and veins. I love to swim so I suppose it’ll be a long sarong to the edge of the pool and then discreet sliding into the water.

Years ago I went on a holiday with my job, which involved taking people swimming.
I had to ask my boss to please not make me do it.

Even when I was younger and more shapely, I didn't have sufficient confidence even to go topless at the beach. Now I fear the sight of myself in the mirror glass of the showers in my DS2's house! Reubensesque, what, me?

minus 10 - can't even bear to see myself naked!

Once you get to be 70 just be glad to have got to that age and don't think about what you were like 50 years ago.

I went away for a few days with my daughter but we didnt strip off in front of each other. My son who is visiting at the moment knocked at my bedroom door and asked if I was decent before coming in this morning.
I went for a gynaecological ecogram yesterday and thought it would be like a baby scan but it was far more intimate than that but nothing was on show at any time unlike a smear test.

Zero! I don't like my body at all and am certain no-one else would either.

I was changing after swimming with my 5 year old granddaughter. She said nana your bottom is so shaky and you have the biggest pants here!

I read something on here about someone's grandchild running screaming "nana's bumbum!" having seen nana bending over.

I'm a lot more comfortable than I used to be. When I was married - partner 10. Anyone else (apart from necessary for doctor) possibly 1 or 2. This morning I went swimming, and coming out of the pool I went into the communal (for females!) shower and took my bikini off to rinse it, and me.

I am happy to strip off on the beach on holiday though- not naked but very small tankini which I can pull up so tummy gets brown
I stopped going topless at 60.

Not overweight but don't like looking in the mirror so much these days. Never had a flat stomach even before having two children.

Much more comfortable with being naked now that I'm a size 12 rather than the size 18 I was three years ago! Communal changing rooms 6/10, partner 10/10, doctor 7/10, everyone else 1/10.

I happily wander around the house in my knickers ,usually when just OH and I .My GD's still come in to chat when I'm in the bath and thats fine ,my own kids did it too.They stop when they're ready to .I went through a phase of stopping 9 year old coming in as she was quite passremarkable about things .However thats topped the day she told me her OTHER granpa had a much bigger tummy then me and he tucks it in his pants...and sometimes it doesn't all fit

Interesting post! I have never liked the idea of being naked in front of anyone including my dear husband of 58 years ????However spent a night in hospital a few weeks ago after a stroke and the night nurse asked me if I'd like to have a shower in the morning and helped me strip off and wash, when I thought about it later I was really SURPRISED I had done that, still wondering....
