Good morning all. I have been away and now I am back! Was at a much loved friend’s funeral and was struck, as always, at how we gather at such a time and the person we most wish was there, is not. Another friend is having a very, very big birthday this year and has invited everyone she cares about from all over the world, to a celebration, for this very reason.
Flowers to soop, kitty, dragonfly and everyone else with health problems and sadness weighing them down. Sorry not to get all the names as as have struggled to catch up.
panache. So glad to see you back. A suggestion, based on a successful experience with my parents - why not both speak and follow up with a letter, the sheltered housing administration. I know there are waiting lists but also that there may be room for flexibility based on your obvious need. Also when you are self funding, that can make a difference. It is difficult to be “pushy” but given your situation, you would be justified in being “politely, pushy”. Sometimes you just have to ask when it is not really in our nature. After all, remember, sheltered housing is meant for those most in need. Bon courage!
galen my deepest sympathy. And a reminder to self always, and your “friend” - if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.
On a lighter note I have left a box of waffles and a jar of maple syrup on the side.
