Thank you for the update Baggs, I`ve been thinking about Soop all day.
I’m on Nitrofurantoin and feeling so sick.

Favourite small treat when feeling blue or conversely a bit flush
Always a warm hearted and uplifting welcome awaits and whatever your difficulties, you leave fully enrapped in the warmth of Soop`s Kitchen with a smile and hope in your heart.
Thank you for the update Baggs, I`ve been thinking about Soop all day.
Can't sleep due to the wind which has returned with a vengeance.
Maggs, thank you for the news of soop.
Marydoll, sorry to hear about your GD's asthma flare up, poor thing, hope she is better soon.
Greyduster, hope you are feeling a little easier.
Thinking about all those with trials and tribulations, particularly soop, Mr and Mrs Panache, Izabella and annsixty. Sending love and hugs to all with troubles. You are in my prayers. ?
Baggs, sorry!
Just popped in to see if there is any news on soop. Thank you baggs for updating us. Please give soop and Macs our love and best wishes if you hear again.
Back later.
Good morning all, still wet and windy here in SE Essex- I have spoken to AC and told him enough is enough? His name is Gareth!!!!! I have had enough of his storm!!!
I hope soop is comfortably this morning.
I am off till end of March now, shall pop in when I can.
Take care and keep safe kitcheners, have left cup cakes on the side.
?????????????
Hello, the kitchen. Just popped in to say thankyou to Baggs for the update on Soop, who I hope is comfortable this morning.
I will pop in from time to time for news.
Like us all, thinking about soop this morning.
Keep us in touch Baggs, many thanks.
I haven't been in the kitchen for ages, about 3 years I think
, although I do still lurk and keep up with everyone's news. Looking in to see if there's any update on Soop. Thanks Baggs. I hope there's more news on her recovery today.
(I'm also seeking refuge from my ghastly next door neighbour)
Just nipping in for news of soop., thanks baggs! Glad to see she’s has had her op, I hope everything’s going smoothly now and she’s comfortable and pain free today. Thinking of them both x
Just popped in for a further check and to send best wishes to soop.
Hope you are ok, ann. Izabella - I hope things are getting back to normal for you.
How are you panache.
Marydoll, asthma is a scary thing - I hope your DGD is a little better. We had Bertie in hospital lots last winter but, touch wood, not at all this year.
GD, stop hoovering!! GG have a lovely time and think of us!
I have good news in the form of a promotion in our a family. DSGS has been promoted from potwasher to Pizza 'chef' in the village pub!! For a small consideration, I will tell you the name of the pub so you can avoid it!!
Callgirl I think someone has already mentioned community transport, but if there is a cancer support group locally, they may also be able to help. Also some hospitals allow free or reduced price parking for people who have to go so frequently.
It’s a tribute to a lovely lady that so many of us (including me!) have been waiting on tenterhooks to hear how Soop is.
Just a hurried visit, like you all I am sort of on "tenderhooks" awaiting news of Soop,so a big thank you Baggs for keeping info flowing.
Early days of course, but ever hopeful our spirited lady will soon be directing the nursing staff!!!
Hope you haven`t worn a hole in the carpet Macsporran!!!
Am at my wits end Kitty ......you will be sorry for asking!!..........another trip to the Surgery for my poor man whom cannot find any relief from all his pains.............and man and pain are not a pretty picture as you rightly pointed out Cornergran............just hoping my own "stiff upper lip of sorts" will rub off on him before the men in white coats will be needed to carry me out!!!
Thank goodness for this blessed oasis I say!!!
Love to you all and big hugs to those struggling badly.
Whilst wishing you well over the hump very soon again dear Soop
Thought the door was locked!! Just needed a push - and my posts keep disappearing.
Hope your little one is soon on the mend Marydoll, and Panache your OH has some help from the doctor, very hard for you. Greyduster stupid hoover! Taking mine upstairs is like moving a train about.
Hope we soon hear good news regarding Soop
Take care everyone, keep warm and dry if possible.
Good morning the kitchen! Hope soop is comfortable and today is the start of an amazing recovery. Gentle (((hugs))) to you and MacS. xx
Tomorrow is the next step in our own journey when I take Himself to his Pre Op Assessment appointment. When the letter came my dear man just froze and handed it to me. He had been hoping that the MRI would show that the nfection had gone but clearly not or he would not have received the appointment.
He is busy trying to do as much as he physically can "while I am still able" so I am on full throttle 'distraction mode' atm.
Hugs for you both Synonymous, it is a huge change he is facing.
I shall keep you both in my thoughts.
Panache so sorry MrP is still suffering. There must be something the doctor can offer. My DH was on amiltriptyline.
Oh Syn I can imagine how your DH feels. It has just become real. He is going to have to get his head round the fact it is really happening. In some ways soop was luckier in that she had little time to think about it. I know I have a mastectomy in the offing but no idea when so I am just ignoring it for as long as possible. It must also be hard for you.
Hoping to hear about soop before the day is out. Without her at our helm we are floundering.
I can’t add any more to what Ann says, Synonymous, and will hope for a good outcome for your DH.?
Kitty I would love to give up hoovering but when I do use the hoover I don’t leave it all in bits at the bottom of the stairs. If one bit doesn’t get you, another one will! I wonder if there is method in his madness! Today I have bruises and a sore knee and I am milking it for all it is worth (which is not actually a lot!).
I have only just caught up with how soop is.
Without sounding sentimental this is good "warm" place to come.
An afternoon visit to the kitchen after a dental appointment. Pootled off quite confidentally without bag or purse, so CH just been down to pay for my check up?. Generally a more settled day though - so thanks all for the reassuring posts. I have been presented with a silver alert bracelet with ICE details. I think CH is afraid of losing me.
Thank you to baggs for the update. I shall look in again later for more news. A buggeration of a haematoma. Lets hope it absorbs quickly if its not too large. Please reassure soop I had one too after breast surgery and all went well after a few days delay.
Marydoll I hope matters improve on the asthma front for your gd, and I hope you find soop well.
I have no cake to offer again (sorry) but there will be fresh baked sourdough bread available later made by CH. I am informed he has used spelt flour today for one loaf and 8 grain for the other. Kindly form an orderly queue.
Izabella I’m glad to hear you have regained a little of your equilibrium (dentist notwithstanding). I will queue up for some of your CH’s home made bread. I made some scones yesterday but didn’t offer them to the kitchen as they were truly awful. DH suggested I may have to go back to cookery school. He is dicing with wassname - again!
Izabella sorry, but I think I take the title of "cook of the year" having made a really lovely stir fry last night for supper but forgot to add the main ingredient, prawns. Still, fresh vegetables are good for me.
Greyduster, you should have left the scones, I will eat anything being unable to bake. I have to admit I have never really tried.
Please do not bother queuing for that gorgeous bread because I will be removing the lot!
Thanks Baggs for last night's update. I do hope that soop is resting today because before she knows it she will be in the car with Macsporran driving her home.
Re vacuum cleaners- I have one upstairs and one downstairs and there are fewer accidents in this house.
Thanks Baggs. Fondest wishes to Soop. I've been missing from the kitchen (not even lurking!) for a number of weeks so missed the announcement of the operation date. Wishing her a good and restful recovery
To all other kitcheners who are struggling and in need of love and hugs - sending you positive vibes, hugs and love in abundance
Hello the Kitchen. Saw soop today. She was looking well if feeling rather tired. We had a good chat. She's not sure when she will be going home but it can be as soon as she likes and as soon as MacSporran, who drove home early today, can do the driving. One of the drains from her surgical cut can be removed probably tomorrow and then she can get her own GP to remove the other during next week.
She misses you all but the hospital wi-fi plus a recalcitrant Kindle have prevented her from joining you.
Oh, wait!.... just had a message: her discharge form is ready for tomorrow.
