Good morning All x
Some heavy cloud but the sun is trying its best albeit a watery looking one. It's not too cold though.
Had to wait for a workman this morning, but he's now been and gone.
Tidying up mainly today but begrudge going too mad because workmen will be disrupting the place in a couple of weeks time so there'll be dust everywhere.

Hope everyone's day goes as planned.

First time posting on this thread. Good morning from a beautiful sunny Geneva where I am staying with my partner in her appointment by the lake for a few days. Been for a walk along the lake side to the botanical gardens and marvelled at the view of Mont Blanc across the lake. Back to Yorkshire on Friday morning.

Morning from County Durham. Cloudy but 11c and dry. Busy day food shopping for grandchildren’s tea. School run, tea, then beaver and cub run.

Hope all is well with all of you. It's quite bright and the sunshine is peeping through in South Notts. Nothing in the diary today so I can be lazy apart from a few little jobs. Will change the bedclothes if/when puss gets off the bed. Hope your car gets sorted Harrigran, it's a nuisance when cars don't co-operate, isn't it?

Bright and thin sun here... bit of a breeze... nice spring morning... off to the dentist for a one hour appointment... my front crown snapped off and he’s attempting to replace it .... cross fingers for me ....

Grammaretto Wed 13-Feb-19 09:46:06

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Strangely warm but it can't be trusted. I fear a cold snap.
Industrious day ahead as I'm expecting friends to stay tomorrow for a few days.
Just had second quotes for joinery and garden work. Both were higher than the first! Who to choose?
I'll ask my "girls" at craft group. They always have an answer

Good morning Mick, Anniebach and all x

Bright in S E Essex, have poorly GC here, waiting for the cleaners and then I need to do some food shopping. Might have a look at the M & S Valentines meal deal?

Keep safe and warm folks x

Good morning from Colchester. Started cold but will be quite warm by lunchtime with the sun trying it's best to peek out.
Been trying to sort out credit cards as Saga is closing theirs soon. Somehow I've been locked out of the online account and they will only speak to DH who is out...grrrr....
Off out to Wednesday coffee meetup now.

Good morning everyone. Overcast and dismal is our weather at the moment, hoping it will brighten up as the day goes on. Treating myself to a visit to the hairdressers this afternoon for a bit of a trim and tidy up. Enjoy your day, whatever you are doing.

oldgaijin Wed 13-Feb-19 09:15:26

Good morning all from a mild Aberdeenshire. It's slightly damp with high cloud so it could be a decent day later.
Hurrah! Finished one curtain yesterday so may attack the second one today...or may not if the garden beckons. The shed needs a good turn out. I think a wee moose has been feeding off the bird food all winter as there is seed everywhere.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all. Bright and sunny in Northampton today; another day of housework planned, will be getting the hoover out shortly.

Yes Beechnut, we do have a beautiful Guildhall here, one of the jewels in the crown, along with Holy Sepulchre (the round church built by Simon de Senlis), All Saints church, the Sessions House, and of course the wonderful house whose interior was designed by Rennie Mackintosh. The main shopping street may be going to the dogs, but so many treasures all over the town, and so much history. Northampton castle held the trial of Thomas a Becket, and it is from here that he escaped to Canterbury. Sadly the remains of the castle were demolished in Victorian times to make way for the railway station.

On the mend I think now from my cold, may venture out tomorrow. And if it stays dry may get the lawn mower out at the weekend.

Hope everyone's day goes well.

Good morning, dry and mild here in the NE.
Plumber came yesterday and we have a fully functioning bathroom again.
Had a phone call from car tracking company, make sure car is secure. DH went and checked, car was still at door but battery was flat so couldn't even open door with key fob. I don't know what has happened as DH did a run to Cumbria on Monday and it was fine then.

Anniebach Wed 13-Feb-19 08:58:40

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Garden fence needs replacing so Fred will have to stay in the hall until I save again for a shed for him

Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Maple has the weather here bang to rights! We are having lunch with a friend today and a big catch up, then DH is off to a football match this evening. Have a good day folks.

Mapleleaf Wed 13-Feb-19 08:41:47

Good morning,
It's cloudy and breezy here in South Yorkshire at the moment, though it's supposed to brighten up a bit later. It feels less cold.
I've started reading the February book club book this week, so I plan to read some more of it today. It's good so far.
Hope today is a good one to you all. ?

NannyJan53 Wed 13-Feb-19 08:32:11

Good Morning from a bright and mild Black Country.

Had a lovely few days away, Spa Hotel near Oswestry, and a lovely walk along the Llangollen canal to Horseshoe Falls yesterday.

Meeting friends for lunch today.

Gaga I ordered shoes last year from Debenhams, when they arrived, one shoe was a size 6 (my size) the other was a size 5! So they had to go back smile

Have a good day everyone.

Nanabanana1 Wed 13-Feb-19 08:27:13

Morning all, it’s a mild day in Torbay today, I’m late up this morning but no matter, only myself and the dog to please today, off out with him after breakfast and then housework, must try and get on with my knitting or beading as there has been no progress since last week and knit and natter tomorrow.
Have a good day all.

MawBroon Wed 13-Feb-19 08:20:01

Good morning all from Walthamstow where it looks to be a fine day. Littlest fella has started coughing again so I suspect no nursery today. But at least Mummy is home from Amsterdam (late last night) and he is currently tucked up in bed with her!
He missed her so much yesterday ? especially by bath-and bedtime as he was tired and under the weather too. It breaks your heart when you can’t take her place, doesn’t it?
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Marydoll Wed 13-Feb-19 07:57:07

Good morning all, from a dismal Glasgow. It's 10 degrees outside, so much milder than yersterday.
We slept well after our day at the seaside yesterday. How do you persuade a three year old, that she cannot go on the sand. due to the howling wind and waves crashing on the beach! grin It was so cold, but we had a lovely day, despite the bird's nest hair and hypothermia! .
We are out for lunch, as this is the anniversary of our engagement, 42 years ago today.
We shall enjoy the lunch even better, as we have restaurant vouchers, curtesy of our DS and DIL. smile.

Enjoy, Edinburgh and the show, Brunette.

Have a good day, everyone.

Susan56 Wed 13-Feb-19 07:54:01

Good morning, it is dry but slightly overcast in Leicestershire but the promise of sun later.
Going to see Mum today and then a whizz round M&S.

NfkDumpling Wed 13-Feb-19 07:41:14

Morning All

A grey five degrees here in Norfolk with a bit of a westerly breeze. The birds seem to think it’s spring.

No idea what we’re doing today. DH is still asleep. Maybe a bit of birdwatching - or book a holiday. The day is our oyster.

Urmstongran Wed 13-Feb-19 07:40:10

Good morning everyone from a day and mild South Manchester. The sky is just lightening up now but I can’t see much of the outline of the Pennines so there must be a lot of cloud cover. Razor thin streaks of blue though so I’m a bit hopeful of a decent day.

I’m up a bit earlier as off on a coach trip leaving at 10am to Lytham St Anne’s - snowdrops and bacon barms - with 3 friends. ???

NanKate Wed 13-Feb-19 07:36:33

Morning Mick and All.

Light pink sky in South Bucks. Should be reasonably mild today. How lovely Persistent a view of people walking. along the beach.

We moved into our home 41 years today. DH and I are going for a lovely strong coffee and a made to order delicious apricot Danish pastry, as a mini celebration.

Have a good day folks.
