A late good morning all - too much faffing about! Off to post my old passport today and then wallpaper stripping. I did an online passport application yesterday and was pleased to find it really easy. The worst bit was getting the photo done! Is that really what I look like???sad Have a peaceful day everyone!

Good morning, damp and dreary but 8 degrees.
DH has Drs appointment and I will stay at home as plumber still has not returned to fix the toilet cistern, well it is only three weeks.

Good morning all.

It's drizzling here in Kent. We can't complain though as we haven't had rain for weeks and at least it's not the frozen kind.
Food shop and coffee out this morning. Nothing else planned.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Michael, Annie and all. It’s certainly warmed up since yesterday. Hospital visit this morning for a check up, fingers crossed.
Then try and find a swede to go with our haggis tonight. Also take out a mortgage for replacing light bulbs ?
To all those under the weather, hugs and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Enjoy your weekends one and all.

Good morning all from south west London. Looking out of the window it looks to be a lot warmer today, certainly no sign of frost so I don't imagine I will have to scrape the windscreen when I go out for a food shop later. Other than that not a lot planned other than having gd coming to stay the night after school.

Have a good day all.

aggie Fri 25-Jan-19 09:12:26

Anniebach we are all willing you on xxx

And Fred is patiently waiting smile

Greyduster Fri 25-Jan-19 09:12:49

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Woke very late today! Dry and a tad warmer in South Yorkshire. Not much planned today. DH has to wait for a call from the surgery, and I have some food shopping to do. Have a good day folks.

Good morning All x
A positive heatwave today after a very cold week.
Trailing geranium hasn't stopped flowering all winter with new growth merrily showing. Can't wait to get cracking with some new tubs but meanwhile must get my " rubbish corner " by the side of the chair sorted.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Good morning from a damp, dismal Colchester.
Have tried and failed to get tickets to see Tom Jones in our local park this Summer. All sold the second they went on sale. Snapped up by resale sites I shouldn't wonder.
Have to venture into town to pick up new specs, prescription and other bits. Then to docs to make appointment for smear test. It's the trying to get an appointment that's the real ordeal.....

Jalima1108 Fri 25-Jan-19 09:22:24

Good morning all from a rather damp and grey corner of the West country. We're off out for lunch today so went and did our weekend shop yesterday - the thought had crossed my mind that we could be getting stuck in a routine (not good!) but that is probably because it's dismal January.

Good wishes for Burns Night to all Scots wherever you may be and to all

Best wishes, Anniebach, hope it all goes well.

Jalima1108 Fri 25-Jan-19 09:24:43

Pittcity when Tom Jones performed at an open air venue near here he could be heard for miles around!

MiniMoon Fri 25-Jan-19 09:29:48

Good morning all.
Damp and breezy in this corner of Northumberland. Today we are to take delivery of a new state of the art television. Our present one has developed some rather distracting purple blobs on the screen. We got a good deal for a new one in the January sales.
Outside in the garden, two cock pheasants are feeding on the seed out down by DH yesterday.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone from a damp corner of Cheshire. Starting to drizzle again! On my way to gym, dropping DH in town to see a chap about a watercolour lesson. I also need to nip into opticians to get my glasses adjusted. Went there yesterday but they were manic. Off to see Auntie this afternoon and hopefully cheer her day.
Have fun.....

oldgaijin Fri 25-Jan-19 09:43:18

Greetings all from Aberdeenshire... It's mild and damp today and the sky is bright.
Am out for another posh birthday lunch with three good chums...ladies who lunch!
Monday's oncology appointment has been postponed, so I have to wait another month to see how things are going. I look and feel well so long may it last.
Have a great day everyone and stay safe.

Juggernaut Fri 25-Jan-19 09:52:57

Morning All,
It's cloudy here in west Cheshire, but the sun (ssshhhh, whisper it) is trying to pop through.
DGS is here again, so we'll be going out for a game of Fireman Sam Football (don't ask!) on the beach before too long.
Hope everyone has a good day!

ScotinOz Fri 25-Jan-19 10:25:09

Hi everyone from a very hot and humid Sydney.

Had coffee out with a friend (fellow ex scot). She's just been told that there is no more treatment available for her type of cancer, so I am quite upset on the inside but keeping cheery for her on the outside (if you know what I mean?). She's feeling okay at the moment and not in too much pain.

Take care everyone ?

Nannytopsy Fri 25-Jan-19 10:53:28

A very late start here! I developed an intensely itchy rash all over my body late last night - urticaria perhaps? Thank goodness for antihistamines! They knocked me out but did clear the problem so I have just woken without an itch!
Good luck today MrL & Annie.

Harris27 Fri 25-Jan-19 10:56:22

6:04 a.m. here in Massachusetts. Woke up at 4 a.m. with some pain and couldn't go back to sleep, so am now here on Gransnet. It's just beginning to get light outside and very cold. Brrrr. Will rest today and not do very much. Have a wonderful day, everyone! smile

raggyanna Fri 25-Jan-19 11:33:46

Hello everyone. Yesterday in North Yorkshire was frosty cold and slippery underfoot, today bright and mild and all the snow gone. Relishing a warm and cosy home after a couple of weeks without boiler, hot water etc, oh how we take things for granted!!!

Magicmaggie Fri 25-Jan-19 11:40:18

Good morning from the sunny Malvern Hills.
Lovely to see you back Mick.
MawBroon
I envy you going to the Bonnard exhibition, saw photos of some of the paintings in the paper, and thought the
colours in them really vibrant and uplifting, just right for
this time of the year.
Dora Marr
I hope you enjoyed your trip to Worcester, it’s my nearest
big town, but I haven’t been there in ages, as I felt so sad
at seeing so many of my favourite shops closing.?

Pittcity Fri 25-Jan-19 13:15:17

Jalima DH and I think we will sit in the High Street with fish and chips and listen from therewink
