Hi all grin
It's just started snowing quite heavily in my part of Surrey. Are any of you snowbound?
I heard on the news that there have been 124 crashes in the past 3 hours in Scotland, due to ice - hope everyone's ok and no serious injuries.
If nothing else, the children will love it ?❄☃️
I hope all you house-bound ladies are well stocked up with food and essentials.
Keep warm.

MiniMoon Tue 22-Jan-19 21:14:34

???

Daddima Tue 22-Jan-19 20:12:34

That was last year, incidentally.

Daddima Tue 22-Jan-19 20:10:59

Now this is snow!

GabriellaG54 Tue 22-Jan-19 19:04:42

Fresh snow is not as bad as ice or ice hidden by a thin layer of snow.
I hope everyone keeps warm and drives safely.

We've had snow since around 5.30 pm in East Northants. It was quite heavy for a while and settled, but is slowing down now.

Yes we had six foot of snow in Surrey judging by the way people were driving but thank god it has melted but might be a bit slippery tomorrow so I hope the flashing warning signs at the end of my road deliver otherwise I am housebound until March

Scribbles Tue 22-Jan-19 18:31:37

We had about 90 minutes of sleety rain here in Lincs but it stopped an hour or so ago.

Liz46 Tue 22-Jan-19 18:26:48

We have snow in Wirral. We don't get as much snow as some parts of the country with having the sea on three sides of the peninsular.

NannyJan53 Tue 22-Jan-19 18:19:26

No snow yet in the Black Country!

ninathenana Tue 22-Jan-19 18:01:00

Nothing in Kent although it's forecast over night.

KatyK Tue 22-Jan-19 18:00:49

Oh no shandi Try to keep it there!

Anniebach Tue 22-Jan-19 17:50:44

Gabriella , we are surrounded by mountains so most of the roads leading out are mountain roads. The worse being the roads going over the Beacons.

GabriellaG54 Tue 22-Jan-19 17:25:20

One of my AC lives in Powys near Brecon and said it was treacherous driving to work today.

Anniebach Tue 22-Jan-19 17:09:25

Snowed yesterday on the mountain roads here in Mid Wales, we had sleet in the town this morning so the mountain roads will have had more snow today. Must do my Tesco order, they have to come over a mountain road to get to our town.

Keep warm and safe everyone x

GabriellaG54 Tue 22-Jan-19 17:03:31

Oh dear! Framilode it always happens when you really need it to be working.
Fingers crossed that he turns up tomorrow and it's up and running by evening.
Warm thoughts coming your way...????

shandi6570 Tue 22-Jan-19 16:45:39

It may be on the way to you very soon Katy K, it is coming down here in Coventry now, but not settling.....yet.

KatyK Tue 22-Jan-19 16:27:54

It was forecast here in Brum but it hasn't materialised.

Framilode Tue 22-Jan-19 16:25:37

It's snowing here in North Oxfordshire and settling. Really hope it stops. The heating engineer is supposed to be coming to fix our boiler tomorrow and it's an outside boiler. We have had no hot water or heating for 3 days now - fed up.

Marydoll Tue 22-Jan-19 16:24:44

Everything came to a standstill in our wee town this morning.
It was horrendous, driving. Our postman told me that certain parts had been impossible to reach, so no mail for some.
I had to drive the route I used to take to school in the morning, I had forgotten how treacherous it could be. I was terrified.
My DIL had a puncture in it, covered by a piece of metal hidden by snow. DH had our granddaughter and DS was stuck out in the hills, so no help forthcoming.
What a stressful morning! Glad to be home and safe.
Looking out, it has all melted!

GabriellaG54 Tue 22-Jan-19 16:23:05

Oh 'eck! It's stopped shock
Well, that was short and sweet.confused?

cornergran Tue 22-Jan-19 16:21:52

tanith Tue 22-Jan-19 16:21:02

We had a short snowfall at 3 but it’s stopped already in NW London.

HAZBEEN Tue 22-Jan-19 16:20:06

We had snow about 30 minutes ago, we are also in Surrey.
Sitting here now watching TV with a nice cup of tea (and some biscuits!)
